I would also suggest getting roms of the game or getting the game and making copys of the files on the game disc on your pc and converting them to a null dc compatible format.

Sega CD maybe suck, but it's one of the FIRST CD-ROM based console, the technology wasn't there yet, so don't expect too much, CD-ROM based console got right is on Playstation 1 era.

My first video game experience was Super Mario Bros 3. on the NES.. but the first system that was actually my own was the Nintendo 64, which is why to this day i still prefer cartridges. The near instant load times are a great plus but what i really loved the best was the noise - there wasn't any! Seriously i hate the sounds of optical drives when playing games.. it really detracts from my experience.

Not to mention Mickey Mania, Shining Force CD, Vay, Dark Wizard, Earthworm Jim CD, Silpheed, Mortal Kombat CD, the incredibly enhanced versions of the Ecco games, and Spiderman Vs. Kingpin. So I'd say the SEGA CD is a lot better than Kinect.

Just wondering but if you have a Model 2 Genesis and CD how do you hook them up. If I have a stereo/video cable for the Model 2 Genesis do I still need to hookup the rca sound cables directly from the CD unit to the tv get the full sound or does it go thru the Genesis model 2?
@ATARI800XLfan Genesis + CD, honestly the Nomad misses out on a lot of great genesis stuff like headphones, add-ons like the CD, Power Base Converter or if you really want it, the 32x (which I'm not a fan of) and you won't spend a FORTUNE on batteries, like with the Nomad. Plus, the 3DO really isn't very good.
I'm glad that old CD technology didn't catch on. I'm talking about systems like Sega CD, 3DO, CD-i which made interactive movies. If I want to watch a movie I will watch a damn movie! Those things were simply failures.

Yep the model 2 sega genesis will work with the model 1 sega CD. Both the model 1 and 2 genesis consoles work with either sega CD, it just looks better when the models match.
03:35 the open button on my Sega CD was jamming too. so opened it up and found there's a small piece of plastic that keeps the stalk of the button in place.

The CD was okay. 200 games, masterpieces like Kojima's visionary Snatcher, Sonic CD (best ever 2D platformer), Final Fight CD (puts the SNES version to shame), Robo Aleste (MUSHA sequel and one of the top 5 best SHUMPs; simply magnificent), Lunar 1 & 2, SEGA Arcade 5-in-1, Earthworm Jim Special Edition. Also enhanced Mickey Mania, Shining CD, Silpheed, Spiderman versus Kingpin, far superior versions of Ecco 1 & 2, and Eternal Champions--even Android Assault.

@LinkNinjaX Your opinon :) There are a lot of AVGN videos that were funny I did like his Sega CD and 32x Reviews they inspired me to get a Mega Drive and Mega CD (For some people its the opposite but I think they took his Judgment to seriously) However I feel his Atari Jaguar video was fucking Retarded and him basicly Jumping the shark for 22 minutes 44 seconds and I've never given a crap about him since then.

@Supergamerofchaos you can put any kind of data on either cd or dvd the difference is how they are read so the laser in the player/burner has to be compatable. look on an xbox game you see the disc is a dvd. A cd-rom is just a cd with game or program data.

Just wondering but if you have a Model 2 Genesis and CD how do you hook them up. If I have a stereo/video cable for the Model 2 Genesis do I still need to hookup the rca sound cables directly from the CD unit to the tv get the full sound or does it go thru the Genesis model 2?

@ATARI800XLfan Genesis + CD, honestly the Nomad misses out on a lot of great genesis stuff like headphones, add-ons like the CD, Power Base Converter or if you really want it, the 32x (which I'm not a fan of) and you won't spend a FORTUNE on batteries, like with the Nomad. Plus, the 3DO really isn't very good.

Yep the model 2 sega genesis will work with the model 1 sega CD. Both the model 1 and 2 genesis consoles work with either sega CD, it just looks better when the models match.

03:35 the open button on my Sega CD was jamming too. so opened it up and found there's a small piece of plastic that keeps the stalk of the button in place.
it had slipped out so i just popped it back into to it.
