I think I saw an old Sansui in your video, I bought one just like that back in 98 at a Good Will store, perfect condition but a scratchy volume control. I only got rid of it because there's nothing worth tuning anymore, and most broadcasts sound like low bit rate mp3 files.
I'm in Central CT, oh a hilltop. Boston air comes in better here than Bradley 123.950 but I understand Boston has a remote site in NE Ct hills that may explain that.

I have a freind is a icom dealer/technician apparently they can be converted to the colour screen. but you need to change quite a few parts .
