If you see the whole vid comparing 9 similar cars of the time you see the safety is pretty decent, however, mentioning the euroNCAP though, you have to consider lower speed (50 vs 64 km/h) and larger proportion of the car width hitting the obstacle here (50 vs. 40%). So with an airbag I can imagine it still being competitive to many cars at the beginning of NCAP era in mid-late 1990's, however, this still wouldn't make me feel too safe driving it.

The new E-class is a much better car than W210 & W211s.

New E-class is the best car for this Era.

absolutely! we have a w210 E 270 cdi and it needs a lot of reparing.. + it costs over $700 a year in taxes (almost $500 more than the gasoline modell) only because ppl think its bad for the envirement! its not! anyway i agree with that the w124 is the greatest car of its era! we have had an E 320 -94 black sedan great engineering! :)
