Every game after Sonic Adventure 2 completely sucked. Then Sonic Generations came out and I almost cried as I got to play through all the best memories games could get you all over again. City Escape will always go down as the best level ever.

You sound like it was hell for you to get all the emblems, which is odd cause I found it very easy to do over the course of 3 days rental from a video store. I don't have any physical proof to back that up, but I know what I've done in gaming. Guess it was just easier for some then others. To be fair, I still can't get past the 3rd stage in Ninja Gaiden (NES) without dying atleast 5 times though so, take that for what it's worth lol.

I just A rank the whole game today! Now for the chao stuff. Also getting all A's isn't as hard as people say. My file has 30 hours on it and I got all A ranks. Just slow down and kill as many enemies as possible. Example. I got an A rank on Pyramid Cave with a time of 5:30. Enemy points are worth a lot more than time.

I just looked through the comments. I don't recommend it. There's a lot of venom down there... Mostly about generations.

My spin on the whole argument is every game has it's charm.

And I have worked over 200 hours on this game, and never saw a grass blade of green hill. Why? Because I had chao to take care of! May they rest in peace...

Also, I'm a bit of a sissy when it comes to challenges.

And finally, If you hate the replay of generations and the like, then do some missioning of your own. P

this is by far the best sonic game released, I have proof!

Replay value: chao garden and multiplayer will have you on the game for years!( im still on it!)

Graphics: were considered awesome at the time(wouldn't mind an hd remake)

Storyline: fairly long, and epic, eggman actually was badass; kept characters to 6 max, 3 stories

Gameplay: 3 different variations of gameplay, 2 char to each. Fast paced action, lock on shooting/platforming, treasure hunting.

Sound: sega never dissapoints.

The best sonic game of all time no question. There's so much content even without the emblems. The stages actually require skill to beat, much unlike new sonic games. The chao garden was awesome and the story was by far the best in the sonic series.
