Wow. I'm a late comer to this series, but it's gripped me like no fantasy series since Tolkien. I truly, truly love it. And seeing this pictures -- many of them quite stunning -- really helps form characters in my mind's eye.

Cold Hands was a wight, riding an Elk.

I think this is supposed to represent Bran's dream of being a Knight who can fly. There was another fan produced piece like this which was very similar to the style of art and in fact the knight and it showed a three eyed crow device upon the shield.

That's my interpretation of it at least.
