@ljhop i think the reason for the lack of whit running backs is blacks have been running the ball for so long its become programed that a black overcomes a white in the position, with that said i think it falls on trust because coaches want more experienced when in reality whites can be just as fast, strong, and agile as blacks. look at Danny Woodhead, Peyton Hillis, Toby Gerhart, and Jacob Hester, all of these guys have proved black wrong and coaches.
