I've seen and read many places the past few years that the communists financed their wars by flooding the market with AKs,to the point that one or a semi load can be bought at $100 each, last time I checked an M16 was $3,200. Another quick question might be which illegal guns would you buy for your illegal drug army?
So if the Mexican drug dealer drives a Toyota to the drive by shooting, does the murder have "Made in USA", "Made IN Japan" or "Hecho en Mexico" stamped on it?
Ruben Navarrette is a pseudo intellectual piece of dog shit. I can't wait to run into that piece of twat in person, this Gay Southern Democrat (angry white homosexual) will have a word with him.
@Gulfporter Your analogy is over simplified. The US has a gun problem in its very own territory. Mexican violence is just an extension of that problem.
@carsiotto- Are you serious? Surely you are not suggesting that the Mexican violence problem is the fault of America. If so, then you have just made a case for a stronger border control policy. Are you sure you want to go this route?
@DeadeyeKeith First of all stop being so linear about your form of thinking. Chill out. We have a gun problem here in the US. Thats a fact. Mexican gangs that are feeding the US' drug problem are using our gun problem to their advantage. Mexican gangs are opportunists and are seizing the chance to capitalize on our broken gun control system. They arent creating the gun problems, they are taking advantage of them. THe US is #1 in exporting and importing weapons.THis is a problem.
@carsiotto- Linear thinking beats bad reasoning any day. You have not addressed my question. If the "US gun problem" is taken advantage of in Mexico, then doesn't Mexico have a border problem?
@carsiotto- Look at it this way. If you are the president of Mexico and you know that your neighbor has a "gun problem," then isn't it YOUR responsibility to keep illegal weapons out of your own country?
@carsiotto We don't have "broken gun control system". The right to keep and bear arms is a constitutional right, equal to the right to free speech. The 2nd Amendment says "shall not be infringed". Do you know what "shall not be infringed" means?
@Americcan What I know is that you're probably a hillbilly, watermelon shooting, shit kicking amerikkkan. We do have a broken system shit head. So many die every year from gun abuse just so that you can yee-haw throughout your backyard. But you wouldnt know anything about that would you goober? Didnt think so.
So you really can't make a good argument in the face of a constitutional right, you just go on a juvenile rant. I see from the comments on your page that you apparently have a problem with a lot of basics, like sovereignty and the constitution.
If the borders were secure there would be NO problem. If the Mexican Government allowed citizens to have GUNS maybe they would clean up their OWN cities instead of ruining OUR cities. Maybe they would DO AWAY with the CORRUPT OFFICIALS and build their own nice place to live...IF THEY WERE ALLOWED TO HAVE GUNS AND GUTS! like our forefathers did and WE may HAVE TO DO AGAIN.......WITH our GUNS.
if guns kill people, mattresses cause pregnancy. FROM MY COLD, GUNS SHOT RESIDUE COVERED HANDS. I obey the law. When it becomes illegal for me to defend myself, I will be a criminal.
Some Mormon LeBarons were just killed by some "Drug Cartel" types. On the US news it was described as "Americans....killed" ! But LeBarons are use to killing their own so I'm sure we can predict the future, prophetically, and conclude these two groups were meant for each other.
yeah skrew navarette, hes a piece of garbage, he need to be handed a beatdown, oh yeah and im mexican, so dont think Im rascist , everyone buy guns and point them at navarette so he can pee in his pants and then will throw him to china so he can experience slave albor
Drug Wars? It all started when a filthy greedy Khazaroach family wanted all the medicine to be in their control, for profit, and to systematically decide who dies and who gets to live, this brotherhood of the serpent still display their twin snake seal on Hospitals, and Hospitals are not the 2nd leading cause of death in the USA, (look it up) far worse than guns, but you dont see these lying sleazy dirty sacks of war profiteer souless shit baby butchers trying to ban hospitals, do you?
nothing happens unless the government officials whom slithered into office, wants it to happen. Therefor any drug problem, and any gun problem, is by design, of the corrupt official whom have a different agenda than what they swore oath to. Please copy and paste this everywhere.
Lets not forget also that the majority of the guns and other equipment used by the cartels (for example level III ballistic armor and new full-auto weaponry) are not even legal for civilian ownership in the US....
Here's what I want to know. If what they say is true, and that's largely debatable according to the NRA, what makes them think that more laws will stop ILLEGAL activity? They already supposedly broke at least four laws, three of which are guns laws (1) illegally coming to the USA, 2) straw purchase, 3) export to another country and 4) import to Mexico). More laws won't stop this activity. Enforce what we already have.
Let me see if I understand. Illegal drugs, illegal aliens, and who knows what else have been entering this country from Mexico for years. This has been our problem to deal with.
Now illegal weapons are suposedly entering Mexico from the U. S. and this, too, is our problem to deal with?
There has got to be something wrong with that picture.
I'm begining to think my government doesn't always have my best interests at heart.
sounds to me like they are just making laws and hoping something works since well everything else they have done has failed. any one knows that to stop this problem we need to get to the root cause, why do people take drugs, that reduces the flow of drugs and the crime. they just make laws so they can say they tried to do something and have a "good record" of passing laws to prevent crime even if they don't work.
Oh, and the majority of the U.S. made weapons were supplied by the U.S. We helped arm the Mexican military and when a bunch of them went AWOL FROM THE MEXICAN MILITARY, they took their weapons with them. That is where the vast majority of the M16/M4 type of firearms came from. This deserters are what formed a core portion of the Los Zeta's.
The numbers were: 90% reported by the liberal media. The fact is: 90% of the traceable guns seized were from the U.S. The amount of traceables out of the total number seized was roughly 17%. Oh, and the majority of the guns that these drug cartels are using are coming from South and Central America and are mainly Chinese made AK-47s. Bottom line: The criminals will get their guns no matter what the anti-gunners attempt to do or believe.
not only is it that they are breaking the laws of both countries, but people who are saying all these guns used there come from the US is not right
their 80% number is 80% of the firearms used in crimes that are tracable which is actually roughly 25% of the guns used in crimes so 80% of 25% isn't so much after all
here is a good question to ask on that why would the criminals come here to spend more on a semi-auto firearm than go elsewhere and spend less on a fully-auto firearm?
There you go again using common sense. You do realize you're probably on some DHS list? Using your f'n brain and exercising your Rights is frowned upon these days since doing such clashes with Pres. Obama's plans for all the sheeple. Don't you understand he wants to lead us to a Utopian existence.. even if in doing so tramples those pesky Founding principals like Liberty and Freedom. He's doing it for your own good. Don't you understand? Don't you get it?
There's no need for "facts" for these people. All they do is take some situation, and then exploit to advance their own agenda.
"Oh hey! A great chance to belittle all the law-abiding gun owners in this country - even though I know nothing of guns, know nothing of criminals who don't care about the 20k+ gun laws, or the fact that I'm incredibly naive about even the basics of the criminal mentality... I hate em!"
Oh well obviously its our fault because... well what i mean to say is... oh yeah and don't forget that...
I think the point has been made, thanks for bringing that to out attention and then so skillfully showing the flaw in yet another opinion that wasn't thought out at all.

I've noticed that if you take a bill like HR-45 and replace the word firearm and the like with the word "dog or pets" you get a an animal rights bill.
I often wonder if these same people trying to get everyone to fix thier animals and license them. LOL
