@seldian you don't have to go to a rally school, but it helps. For stage rally there are stringent rules saying what classes you can race in, and how your car can be outfitted. For rally cross, just show up with a helmet and zip ties.

If talking about rally, Finland is spritial home of rallying and WRC Rally Finland is grandaddy of all rallyes. In words of one british driver, You have to be very brave to go rallying with finns. And Jean Todd said if you want to win employ a finn. I have seen once american driver in our rally, but he crashed out on ss2 very badly, still there is 2 Flying Finns who have won fastest rally in world 7 times, Hannu Mikkola and Marcus Gronholm, no comparing them to amatures like this man.

When thinking of rally racing, finland obviously is what comes to mind in origin for the sport. They have the landscape for it. It's not about the nationality of the driver. I love to watch those races. Watch a Baja race in the trophy truck class down in Mexico. The Vegas to Reno race has been a lot of fun as well. My friends and I have raced motorcross in the ironman class at those venues. the 1000 was the longest. Cheers Finland!
