  • What is the song in the beginning called?

  • @MrNick2D

"Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach

  • Dude, I bow in honor! Your vids are excellent! Thank you so much for all the advice.

  • Dr. Kreepy. Thanks for the tutorial. Ive just built my flying crank ghost a couple days ago. I found that if you look at the website MSC Industrial supply company, they have 5rpm motors for $41 at 50 in. pounds of torque. They also have 5rpm motors at 250 in pounds of torque for like $75. I gotta tell you these things are great. Im glad I found your video. Thanks again

  • @Imbyteme Part 2 of the vid coers the crank.

  • @drkreepy1

thanks i found that after i asked ,go figure.. are there any specific lengths to the fishing line or all about same length?I'm guessing a little altering to best fit?

  • @Imbyteme I made the fishing line for the arms a little shorter than the head

  • Very cool. I'm going to look at making one of these for this Halloween. I figured 3 weeks is still enough time. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

  • i used tide liquid worked great. i also found the motors 8 rpm geared on ebay for 12.95. looked hard for it.

  • Since my son does not trick or treat anymore, I have decided to start with a haunted yard this year or next year. Thanks for your help.

  • Woolite is good to use to make fabric glow as well.

  • @redhed67 Thanks! I knew there was something else!

  • im making a few this halloween thnx dr creepy u rock!

  • Awesome tutorials, and i love your attitude. Keep it up! thumbs up

  • I have been having trouble finding a Laundry detergent to use for this, have any ideas? Thanks :)

  • @kingoros I've read you can use RIT whitener but i've never used it. Most powdered detergent has a blueing agent in it that is UV reactive.

  • I am trying to make my own flying crank ghost and am having trouble finding a good Laundry detergent to use on the cheese cloth. Have any ideas? Thanks

  • hey man great vid, i watched it last halloween but got scared to try, i just started mine today but i got to thinking, has anyone use a motor with alot of tourqe and made a complex pully system and put like 3 ghost moving together?

  • @icecolddbb I don't know, but phantasmechanics have done some cool stuff with those motors.

  • Nice video.

  • Thanks for the pointers, your videos helped my first ghost fly this season!

  • Could you possible make a tut with a rotissere motor

  • Thanks so much for the videos, FCG was something I always wanted to make but was intimidated by the complexity of the build. Now I have one. Even my daughter (14) ,who thinks dad is weird, loves this prop!

  • That is awsome! Enjoy!

  • would gorilla glue work well with cheese cloth or just become a huge mess?

  • For glueing the fabric to the frame, I think it would be okay....Although i've never used Gorilla glue.

  • you look like gg allin lol, thanx for the tips bro

  • Nobody knows freakin' GG Allin man... I'LL KILL 'EM.

  • LMAO....ill kill em

  • would putting it bleach give it a nice glow?

  • I'm not sure bleach would work. It doesn't have the blueing agent.

  • OK, this is my very first-ever comment on youtube, but dude, this is just the very best how-to video I've ever seen. And I'm a very picky, cranky old lady crafter. Kudos, sonnyboy, now I'll have my very own FCG, thanks to you and the good folks at Phantasmechanics... and you have a grateful new fan! :->

  • Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the tut. Best prop ever!!

  • This is the coolest comment I have EVER read!

  • Wow you are awesome dude, you have the pation i can tell from the work you do! keep on the good work!

  • Thanks I love doing it.

  • how do u make it glow

  • Shine a blacklight on it. It has to be a tru blacklight. not one of those $1 incandescent lights!

  • I keep coming back to this video.

I've viewed many sites on ghost construction but your creation beats the lot.

It's totally evil looking. Well done.

  • awesime, love your vids, I just subbed,.

  • Hi dude, Im from mexico, and I`ve seen your video and it`s really awesome ;), congratulation, I have a question for you my friend, can you tell me, what kind of motor you used to make the floating effect ( Name & Model ) ;), I`ll wait your answer, greetings from mexico, see ya !!

  • Windscreen wiper motor

  • thats cool, im going to look at the others

    cheers from australia

  • Thanks! I appreciate the comments!

  • Happy Halloween Dr Kreepy and to all.

  • HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Oh dckreepy1 could you make video of your house on halloween? it would be awesome. right back! cya!

  • That's what I was planning on. I haven't done any videos because i'm getting ready for our party!

  • lemme get a video of it in action but were getting a new video camera this week so be a few days till i get the video but ill take some pics. My dad thought we could go to a junk yard and get a wiper motor for about 10 bucks and test that out.Oh and we put redish and pinkish flourecent paint on one sheet of the cloth to make it look bloody and stand out. Keep up with the vids! cya!

  • could you sell these?

  • Yeah, There are a lot of guys selling these on e-bay.

  • pleas right back....

  • That souds like a cool way to do the effect! Do you have pics or vids? I'd love to see 'em!

  • Hey, me and my dad are making a crank ghost too. were putting a fan the goes from one side to another under the sheets of the ghost to make it move, we dont feal like buying a 50 dollar motor so we put the fan on a night stand under the cheese cloth of the ghost on a black night stand and it works like a charm! Nice vid! ROCK ON!

  • wat about spray adhesive

  • You can probably use a spray adhesive. I've never tried it.

  • he remind me of one of the big eddies that they you at some of the iron maiden concerts

  • Thanks so much!!! Good info!! It looks pretty easy and fun!!! Now for part 2!!!

  • If your viewers want to purchase the rig and build their own ghost, we have some Flying Crank Ghost rigs available on eBay. Happy Haunting, Dixrexam

  • They are so cool. The best thing is, you can make the ghost itself dirt cheap!

  • My wife and I followed your tutorial and made our own FCG. Of course ours isn't motorized yet. We decided to cut costs this year by putting a fan behind it instead. Looks wicked!

    Thanks for the help.

  • What are your plans for this Halloween Dr. Kreepy?

  • Huge Halloween Party! We hold one every year. Hopefully i'll hit some haunted houses and i'm working with my buddy on a public access t.v. show to air around Halloween!

  • That's cool! Wish I could help out with something like that.

  • Our plans by the way: we'll probably watch some movies, maybe start a bonfire outside and pass out candy. We like to roast hot dogs and marsh mallows over a bonfire on Halloween.

  • Dr. Creepy, you are the man. Very good tutorial.

  • Ah, IQ test...Was just trying to figure out where Part II was...and saw that I'd watched Part I only 5 hours after it had been added...Heh. Gimme part II damn it! :D

  • Great stuff! I've got to try this sometime :)

  • Nice tutorial, man.

I might make one of these if I happen to stumble across a styrofoam skull.
