Rotem wasn`t copy!! It is our technology. Yes it affected in TGV. But they didn`t give to ours core tech of bullet train. So we have tried and tried to make it by our own technology. Now KTX2 is very good. Since bullet train introduced to South Korea 7years ago, no one was died by accident. Of course a bit accident is accured freqently, we supplement it endlessly to achieve ZERO PROBLEM.

走行距離って一駅挟んで約235km? ２時間40分で結ぶ。遅くない?日本の新幹線は約540kmを２­時間25分で結びますよ。

TGVを選んだ損失です。何故か? 在来線と併用してしまうこと。TGVの加速性が悪いこと。

新幹線を選べば釜山まで全て高架線にします。 TGVだと駅を増やすことができません。加速性が悪いために一駅­停まると約15分以上ロスするからです。

KTXだけじゃなく、海外では在来線と併用するのが一般的です。

そもそも、新幹線のように全線新設するのは余程利用客を見込めな­い限り無駄でしょう。

新幹線を採用しなかったのは反日感情ではなく、TGVのシステム­のほうが韓国に合っていたからでしょう。

if you look carefully, the passenger coaches are wider than the locomotive.

locomotive frame is similar to TGV - KTX (contents are completely different though, different electronics etc), where as coach is complete redesign, due to so much complains at the narrowness of KTX seats.

I believe passenger coach is 20cm wider than the TGV. 10cm to the left, and 10cm to the right.
