Perfect Dark Review

Some people I know, say that this game has some of the worst graphics on the N64, some say of all time. I find that a totally retarded statement. I think Perfect Dark had amazing graphics. Just look at the lighting, lights flash at you and it will look a little disorientating, meaning VERY realistic. And when you step in the shadows, you can barely see your arms. I should also mention the muzzle flares. They are awesome. All of the guns look devastating every time you pull the trigger.Great game

The only problem is that you have to get the 4 MB expansion pak to play the single-player, but the multiplayer kept me going for a while and I finally ordered it today.

Who cares if Golden Eye is considered a classic? Even you admit Perfect Dark is the better game. So Perfect Dark is better than Golden Eye and that's all there is to it. And I never owned either, but I rented and enjoyed Perfect Dark. And not Golden Eye.

Sweet review, I'll be sure to buy this one. (Also, the gun is not called a silencer, it's still a falcon 2) @ the other reviewers, this games does look much better, but that's not to say that goldeneye wasn't awesome.

Well the one in the first level does have a silencer on it. But yes it is a falcon 2 gun.

Anyway, the reason I said that is because in this game it's not detachable. Either you pick up a falcon 2, or a silenced Falcon 2. Don't worry, I know this for a fact as I now own the game.

-Those who claim that Goldeneye 007 or some other FPS is better than Perfect Dark, most likely haven`t even completed all levels on Perfect Agent or are just blind! -There is so much detail, complex things going on, and subtle little things to do & find in PD (like shooting the lights out anywhere you wish and hiding in the dark, courtesy of the most incredible realtime -lighting effects seen on N64 or any system at the time, for example)... -Seriously, only Zelda beats this game on Nintendo 64!

Perfect Dark/Goldeneye has the best console FPS controls in any FPS game to date. The "rubber-cord" aim is perfect. Nowadays it's just like in COD which is kinda lame on a console. Makes u need auto-aim and other crap

I don't think it will be remade for the DS, Or even get on the Virtual Console. Microsoft bought Rare (Which, I'm actually glad about). Hopefully it'll get on the Marketplace or somewhere for people who don't have an N64.

Goldeneye is possible though because Rare only held the James Bond license for that game. Now Activision holds the license, which opens the possibility. Perfect Dark...is another issue. Probably less likely.

The only thing this game was missing was online and better grafix. did you know they put that in the new one and everyone says it was nowhere near as good as the original. Which means... perfect dark is as perfect as it gets.

in perfect dark you can change it to seem more like 2 analog sticks...but you use the c buttons to move

They do a similar thing on the DS like in Metroid Prime Hunters and Call of Duty (I think), where you can switch the character movement from D-pad to the main buttons, or change the stylus hand.

Wow you know just recently I tried to see letting him go and when you catch up with him and Joanna goes "Move it!". Thats why I love this game, its like Ive had this almost what... 8 years now and Im still finding shit to do. This game was made to improve on what GoldenEye started. The developers got feedback on what the pros and cons of GoldenEye were and then they made Perfect Dark :)

The ammo is limited, but you can carry a hell of allot of it. You prolly wont run out of ammo, because you always collect ammo from enemies you can, and theres no limit to the ammount of guns you can hold. Theres several dificulty levels. You'll learn. Its worth it, idk if it can handle it.

this game is a real classic, u never get sick of it u do story mode and then u have so many more stuff to do, it can be very hard if u have it on perfect mode(hardest mode)
