Here is the story with the B23-7's...They are now being used by the Vermont Railway Systems in Vermont. For the past couple of weeks, they have been based out of Rutland on the BNR Extra, which runs between North Bennington and Rutland. I have video of these two engines idling away in Rutland. The numbers are 4212 and 4211. I will post thevideo soon and show it to you. Nice catch. BTW, where is New Lenox?
HOLY CRUD!! The only lash ups I saw in my old home town Dexter were all IAIS but sometimes I was lucky I saw foreign power lease and one time a CN wide cab SD40-2
I sure hope those two weren't going to become genset fodder at NRE, hope they make their way up to MM&A or somewhere where they will be used again. Good video and great catch!
They were going to Silvis.

Those were orginally BNSF B23-7s they had tiny little BNSF Patch. Sad that BNSF replaced them all with the C44-9W. Nice one indeed 5/5

WOW this is the rarest catch ever! In all I like GEVOs, but the B23s however are classics for life. Were those B23s leased?

thats what the rarity is all about, they are not leased, just along for the ride.
