correct but before you go off using my comment to credit Bush for attempting to drill for oil in Alaska I would like to point out that even thou all of the oil in Alaska is domestic and is refined in state the gas prices are still atleast 20 or more cent above the national average. If oil is high cus of "instability in the mideast" then why would domestic oil be affected? There is no instability in Alaska so why is gas cheaper in Alaska ? It called greed.Anyone who disagrees is not worth it.

If Bush did any thing to fix the oil crisis why didn't he propose to have domestic oil drilling the first 6 years of his office when republicans had control of the congress? Besides having more domestic oil wont make it cheaper because the oil companies know they can price it the same as imported oil because everyone needs gas.

Well actually where the drilling is suppose to be done it is on a federal wildlife refuge that was established BY I believe Roosevelt in the early 1900's Federal forest program has been chalenged for alomost 100years for reason like peoples right to hunt and live on these lands. It is illegal to use federal land for commercial or resdential use.The point of the program is to preserve Americas wilderness FOREVER.But I still agree that we should be drilling for oil there.

The point of the Iraq war is increase the amount of oil into America and making it cheaper. The Bush administration wants the iraq government to get on its feet and sell the oil in American Currency that way Americans will have cheap oil that will stay cheap because the currency exchange rate will be irrelevent and the value of the dollar in relation to other nations would be irrelevent also.
