After a two month search for biological parents, I discovered that I am Leonard Peltier's half brother. We both have the same mother and we both have the same birthday, September 12. He is 19 years older than I am.
I hope that one day in my life time, I will be able to meet my 2nd cousin. His mother and my granmother Ida S. were sisters. I am 24 years old and keep hoping that he will be granted clemency before my grandma passes. Thank you all for your continued support.
I cannot believe Clinton, Bush etc. pardon a bunch of THUGS every year, and will not even listen to anything from Peltier....Bush just pardoned a bunch of screw- ups today!!
There has been no justice for Leonard, because the Government doesn't want justice. If justice was the aim, this case would have been resolved long ago. Indigenous people everywhere are awake & conscious of the US inhumanity. Due, sadly, in part to Leonard's, incarceration. The UN is proving imppotent. I believe we need a World Council of Indigenous peoples to take control, to restore our environment & our communities.
free peltier anyone who knows how our government works know's that they are crooked and they lie the cheat hell they even steal . our country was built on slavery on all types of injustices and our history is written by liars and thiefs . we can cry it from the top of a mountian but the question is will they choose to hear our voices ?
I do think of the officers and their families and every facet of the far reaching pain of this situation. I'm sure what happened those years and on that day were no one's "dream"...and certainly no one wins. I find how Leonard's trial was handled very disturbing...that doesn't preclude me from having sorrow for the loss of Messrs. Williams and Colier and their families by any means. In strength,
Remember Justice, she wears a blindfold for a reason. Yes of course the officers are remembered, but imprisoning a man who did not receive a fair trial, with evidence that was fabricated, hardly honours those agents.
It's way past time, but Leonard will be free. We must make sure of it. So PLEASE write many letters, go to many protests. Do what you can do BUT do something. They can not keep ignoring us if we don't let them.

Documents withheld...that figures!

I am scottish (white) and I am also an avid history fanatic...first off please don't put all of us in the same boat as that Custerdiviion.
#1 look into the story of why they went there to begin with...kind of shady if you ask me.
#2 Did you know that Gen. Custer was actually spotted running away , leaving his troops for dead? why would you name yourself after a monster?
