Hi, can you help please? I installed the downgrade and the "AT&T" logo appears, it doesn't boot past this stage. I can't put it into download mode or factory reset. The phone now doesn't turn on at all, if I send it back to the manufacturer under warranty will they be able to detect that the phone has been tampered with now it is completely dead? Any views on this would be grateful! Thanks

Hi, there are many places you can download the drivers for the Galaxy Tab. It is not easy to paste a link of any site on Youtube.. but just do a search on Google for "drivers for galaxy tab" - look at he first 3 or 4 links... they all have the sites for you to download. the USB drivers , depnding on which Windows computer you have, 32 or 64 bits.

@bcohen333 - Yes you would need to reinstall all your app after the downgrade or upgrade to any new Firmware...

@antonyponvijai - I think so, but I don't use the regular Kies . The new Samsung sync program is called Kies Mini. Have you used it? Good luck..

Just a suggestion for all of you. I have trouble a couple of times connecting to the Laptop in a download mode or just to access the phone... and the problem was the Data USB cable... somehow it went bad ... I changed to another USB cable and it worked fine. I just downgrade my Captivate again to Ver 2.1. - Good luck

i can tell from experience what would happen if you do this on other Galaxy S phone; itll just flash the AT&T logo. thats abt it i guess. im dead.

Thanks very much for doing the video. I am trying to downgrade my phone to Eclair 2.1 and I downloaded the file following your instruction. I downloaded I897UCJF6-final-OCD-REV0.rar but it is a RAR file. How do i use this file since it is not executable?

@dkbsigilai. Hi . Sorry you had trouble. But you can find and download the program Winrar or others to uncompressed the far file that you downloaded. After you do that just click o. The executable and you will get the ODIN program do downdrade to the android 2.1. Original version. Good luck.

that is strange... Did you see the Download logo on your Captivate phone?

Did you see the any message on the Windows (PC) side? or on the ODIN windows?

My worked so easily. Were you able to start the Mini Kies program from Samsung... just as a test to see if the drievers were installed correctly ?

Again, I am not sure if you really need the drivers, but i have them installed on mine.
