This guy's Japanese accent sounds like he is speaking Korean. Find a real Japanese actor next time.

he is korean but he learned japanese quickly for this role. most people wouldn't be able to recognize that he's korean, so they used him. hey, john cho is korean but he played japanese hikaru sulu so don't go slamming on asian actors. asians are quite flexible when it comes to roles so that's a good thing. they can be jap, korean, chinese, give 'em a tan and they can be an every day filipino or malaysian.

he is korean-american!? For koreans it is easier for us to learn Japanese since they both are anglo saxon but kanji is hard to learn. NBC miss universe got it wrong!
