  • this is great! i really want this done. there's a place in my area that does this. I'm not aloud doing ANYTHING like this :( not anymore after what happend a few years ago! its nice to see what my hair may look like if i got this done.

  • can i straighten my hair the day after getting the japanese perm?

i ask because i woke up with a wave in the back after getting the perm

  • how much does it cost for men with short hair?

  • i have a question does this effect your brain like you become dumber???

  • her hair's not even curly!

  • im not sure about this, my hair is very thick and curly and the models hair was pretty straight to begin with..

  • what is the thing that you sprayed at first?? Is it HEAT PROTECTANT??

  • @cinderellahairsalon is it good for black people hair ,which has also been permed? Also is there anything we need to do before hand to get it if we can?

  • How long does it last for??? Like I know I sound like a little kid but is it like forever?

  • @Erica4654 I got one a few days ago, it lasts for like 5-6 months i think? o: It really depends on your type of hair mine is thin and straight-wavy so it'll last for a long while (:

  • omg im 12 i want to get that done for my 13th birthday is it safe for me? plz answer thx

  • @jignya1198 LOL, I want this done for my 13th Birthday too....In August! And it is safe, my hair stylist said that they've done it on kids as little as 5.

  • @dancingdeeva17 o ok cool thx

  • @dancingdeeva17 It is safe since it's not an actual perm, which damages the hair a lot, I got one of these japanese hair straightenings and I'm just 15 it doesn't really damage your hair that much, other than the few times you get blow-dried and flat-ironed but it comes out pretty and pretty silky-softy (:

  • how long does it last? and once you've done it is the hair frizzy???? and can you curl it and other things?

  • why do they flat iron then wash again??????

they make it seem so special the is just like getting a relaxer

  • i heard you're not soppouse to wash your hair,be in humidity, sweep it back behind your earss,no hair clips, etc for 72 hours;what about when you sleep?what can you do not to interfere with the setting of the hair?

  • Is it the same one what is called opti-smooth care !?

I have a curly hair and I want to make it wavy is there anything to make it wavy not too straight !? because I hate when I have a pencil ends

  • she lookes like my friend holly o.O

  • it works i got it queens northen blvd 163-30 and my hair is dumb curly and now my hair is nice and sliky ask 4 jakie

  • it works i got it queens northen blvd 163-30

  • So once you flat iron it, it stays like that even if you wet it?

  • what?! you still have to flat iron?! and you pay $500-$1000. thats ridiculous! but i still wanna do it. isnt there a cheaper alternative?

  • whats that white stuff

  • after you wash your hair will it remain straight or u still have to flat iron? and will it still be straight even if u let it air dry itself? and uhm how much will this cost? i`m planning to get mines done.

  • @szelosza hi! okay, i did some research and my cousin got her's done so here's what i've found out: 1. after washing your hair, you will need to flat iron it to get that "finished" look. 2. yes, after letting it air dry, the hair will be straight however, like i said, you'll have to iron it to get the sleek look. 3. the cost on this procedure runs anywhere from 500 to 1000+ bucks.

all in all, i don't think its worth it. way to expensive and you still need to iron it in the end :p

  • Is there only a couple of hair types that are suitable for this treatment?

  • @Ribbbbbit mostly, only people with curly or wavy hair get the treatment.

  • How much dose this cost for men??

  • @werebacke it depends. usually, it costs anywhere from $500 to $1000.

  • i have one question, how would you do this at home without the shank (that hot steamy thing)?

  • that looks like aloong process

  • @ontheskies it takes up to 5 or maybe even 6/7 hours!!

  • how damaging is this to your hair? Like on a scale of 1 to 5? I have purple hair (very wavy) and I was wondering how damaging this treatment is. I f I could get a reply that would be great! Thank You :)

  • @XbabyCCX purple hair? the treatment, just like all relaxers, is extremely damaging, more so if you get it redone over and over again. on a scale? i'd say 4 or 5.

  • My daughter loves straight her, and her birthday is an a couple months. She's turning 13. Is this suitable for youngs girls like herself? How much would the price be for thin hair, that is about 20 inches? I've also heard that if you get a haircut after the hair straightening, it'll be wavy again. Is this true?

  • Thats so awesome .(: Her hair looks so soft & silky . & it looks like her natural hair . i love it .<3

  • Amazing results, but is TR suitable for guys with shorter hair (about 6 cm length)?

what's the name of the song??

  • @madboy1234

Yes, TR is suitable for guys with shorter hair. We have many male customers.

(The name of the song is shown above.)

  • holy heat

  • I am thinking about doing this at a salon in phoenix, but because the price is only 150-220, i am kinda scared. They told me that the system comes from japan and is called "well being"?? I think that's what she said, I couldn't really understand her very well over the phone. Have you heard of this brand? or do you maybe know what she was talking about? do you think it'd be okay to do?

  • wow its amazingly straight. I wanna get this done. would you be able to do it on afro textured hair???

  • i really want 2 do this it looks fabulous :)

  • would this work on coarse straight hair? I want it to be finer and lay down better.

  • I got this treatment done and it was AMAZING! I had gotten a set-in perm which is only a perm of 3/4 of my hair and when it started to grow out the tips were such a nusiance; after i got this treatment i never had to straighten the bottom of my hair every morning again! Thank you Cinderella Hair Salon

  • Just got TR done! it is amazing!!! takes a long time to do but it so worth it. The stylist seem to know what they're doing and the products being used. I was a little unsure about the results, i thought it would damage my hair or end up looking stiff like relaxed hair...but i was sooo wrong. My hair feels a lot healthier than before and is silky smooth. I would definitely do it again. .....thanks so much Cinderella salon. =)

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G :D

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • I got my hair done a couple of days ago, and I just love it!! I was unsure about getting my hair done with the price, but the owner of the shop consulted with me step by step about what to be done during the TR =) it was worth it. Thank you so much!! :D

  • @happycinajihee how much did u paid for it?

  • @happycinajihee did u have to flat iron it when they finished??

  • @happycinajihee

How much did it cost? And how long did it last?

  • hi umm i was wondering if like when you do the permanent Straightening and you die your hair is it still gonna be straight or no? and how much does it cost to get a permanent? please answer me :) !!!!!!

  • ive been researching a lot about Japanese hair straightening, and so far the best two Salons I found in Toronto was this one and "THE SALON ON BRIMLEY " < but this isn't a fact, if anyone know which one is better or if there are even better ones available, i would be more then interested in your opinion.

  • i was looking at toronto ones too, the only one i found that even looked good enough to go in and ask was this one here.

  • I got my hair straightened in India a few months back(september 09) for $115 & suprisingly the results are good...except that now my hair is too straight for my liking..i now find myself going to sleep with wet hair just to get the wavy look..i know i sound so confused..lol..its true what they say..the grass is greener on the other side.

  • one more question, how much would it cost for about 4 and a half inches of hair?

  • im a guy, with mild curly hair, about 4 and a half inches long, is that suitable for this? and how well are the results for short hair? finally how damaging is it to the hair?

  • No! Toronto,Canada

  • is this in california?

  • @melimited

The girl used in demonstration probably already has straight ends. A friend of mine did this and they did the same to her. She has curly hair but straight ends.

  • shouldn't the chemicals be used for the whole length of hair? i saw the bottom part are left alone

  • why do they still need to flat iron it at the end?

  • @CO0KiiEMonStah they flat iron so that how your hair stays. its sort of like molding clay. after you get this done your not suppose to wash, bend, or tie you hair for 2 to 3 days

  • @CO0KiiEMonStah thats their "trick". i think 500 to a 1000 bucks is wayyy too much if you still need a flat iron :p

  • @CO0KiiEMonStah Because, you can't wash your hair for 3 days so they straighten it to keep it nice during those three days.

  • @CO0KiiEMonStah exactly!!!!! thats wth im wondering. im not sold.lol

  • what happens with the discounted hair straightening from you, will it not last as long, or?

and how long will the more expensive way last?

  • @kurai666 Discount hair straightening will not last as long as Japanese TR (which is permanent). The reason for this is that Korean Straightening involves only one chemical and it opens up the cuticles of your hair. Japanese TR, however, involves three different chemicals that contain proteins which will never open up the cuticles. Hope that helps.

  • How long would it last?

  • i loved how you did thuis but how long does the whole process take

  • @ladysarah3000 The whole process can take 3 to 6 hours depending on the length and condition of your hair.

  • Comment removed

  • my hair is thick and curly

How straight would it make my hair?

  • @Bertnii Japanese Hair Straightening would make your hair perfectly and permanently straight.

  • i have african american hair and it is medium length.i have a perm. so can i get japanese Hair Straightening

  • it is expensive but its worth every penny!! my mum is from panama so i'm mixed race with dry frizzy hair but after this treatment I was delighted, was amazing!!

  • yeah i am planning on getting it . what is your race. i am blck and will it work for me ?

  • I've just booked up my 2nd appointment. I had it done about 10mths ago. Your hair feels so soft after. My dad was white but my mum is from panama so has almost afro course hair. I'd wake up every morning looking like a frizzy witch and then spend ages with hair sprays gels and all sorts trying to tame it. Now a quick brush and i'm out and about. as your hair grows you just need a touch up with some hair straightnes which you can do yourself. I'd recommend it x

  • hi! i just wanted to know how's your hair now? are they very damaged or do they look healthy? how long did your straightening last?

  • Hey, my hair is so much easier to maintain. Its been a few months now, obviously is not as perfect as when you leave the salon but 100% better to what is was before the treatment. I use my ghd's on the tips of my hair but can pretty much get up brush and go out. hair looks health too xx

  • and when the weather is wet your hair doesn't get frizzy at all?

  • Not really, a tad but just a quick brush and its good again x

  • ok. than you for answering me!

  • but they still flat ironed it in the end too...?

  • im so excited!!!

    im getting this done today

    eeeeeeeep!

    this looks really pro btw

  • Japanese Hair Straightening is pointless you still have to flat iron your hair!!

  • You only have to flat iron it once at the salon. Once you iron it, you never have to iron it ever again. Only the new hair that grows would have to be re-straightened.

  • @koleangel14 This is not true. Once you have Japanese Hair Straightening, you don't need to flat iron your hair.

  • Damn that's a lot of heat on the hair...

  • I have recently come back from Korea, and I got my hair straightened there. In Korea they call it 매직머리 (maejik meori) and I was wondering what type of straightening this is. Is it japanese straightening or is it straghtening by lye relaxers or something?Recently, I wanted to get my hair re-straightened (thermal/japanese) but I researched it and it said you couldn't if you've peviously straightened it with relaxers. So, what kind of straightening is 매직머리?

  • @zeTruth Maejik Meori is Korean straightening. The chemicals used are inferior to the chemicals used in Japanese Hair Straightening. Maejik Meori will result in hair that is more dry.

  • does dis work on very curly and frizzy hair?

  • Comment removed

  • Can I have a keratin treatment after I have had this treatment? say a month or so after this treatment.

  • @casagrandecats

Yes, keratin treatment should be fine after a month or so.

  • heyy i heard dat u can get ur hair permanent straightened is dat true????

  • does this work on black people hair?

  • Yes, Japanese TR works on black people's hair and can be done on hair that has been colour-treated with drug store products.

  • yep

  • no my friend is black it just made her hair i little more flat but since there hair is so course and thick it cant control the heat

  • if someone colors their hair with drug store color like Herbal Essences hair color (permenent) will the chemicals in that hair color react with the japanese straightening? or will that drug store color be ok

  • wow the results are amazing..so you mind me asking how much you paid for that?

  • If you live in toronto, you can get results just as good as this for a lot cheaper, check out pacific mall or koreatown, prices range from 150-300 bucks XD

  • Yes, you can always get cheaper hair straightening done - especially at Pacific Mall and in Korea Town. But, the reason it's cheaper is because the chemicals they are using are inferior to the best Japanese chemicals we use and, in many cases, they skip steps. We also offer discount hair straightening starting at $100; however, if you truly want the best results using the best chemicals done by experienced technicians, you have to pay a little more. BTW, I'm Korean and my salon is in Korea Town.

  • The woman in the video paid $350 for touch ups to her roots and the procedure took about 4 hours. We receive many emails and phone calls daily regarding pricing. True Thermal Reconditioning is expensive - there is no way around it. The procedure is long and the chemicals are expensive. But, the results speak for themselves. If you're on a budget, then we can always offer you another type of TR. If you want real Japanese TR using top products, we will give you the best deal available in Toronto.

  • i have that sedu flat iron they used on the girl!!

im gonna get thermal straightening done next month!

  • did you get your hair straightened? how did it go? how's your hair now?
