on an entartenment part maybe yes. at the more technical/tactical view of basketball, they will be reach that level way before the 2 decades you mentioned. don't forget that San Antonio that is dominating the NBA legue the last few years, have a more international/euro style of gameplay. something that is the reason why they are not a very entairtening team. San Antonio has been playing the same style since the Tim Duncan era, 98-99 season. How do they play international/euro? The Spurs offense runs through a big man that can dominate the paint. euro teams don't play that type of offense since they don't have an inside precense that can dominate the paint area. In addition, you cant take away the people's passion for sports or anything. Besides, this is the olympics. This is the best show in the world where all the best athletes from around the world come together and showcase their talents and skills for glory and honor of their countries. They were motivated and not desperate. Desperate is when you're in a situation when defeat is imminent and you have to do every drastic measure just to avoid it. Greece wasn't even desperate when they lost to the US. They were shocked. Their desire to win faded. The US took the fight out of them. So pitiful.
