@TheSyafiq12 That's quite a lot to cover, I suggest you watch my other video "Blender Jet Modeling in under 10 minutes" Take note of the short cut keys I press shown in the 2 little green windows.
@MajorWales Hi, when you click R, it goes to rotate mode and whichever object is selected it will rotate. To rotate or tumble your VIEW on the other hand, just middle click and hold and move your mouse.
@truckerdoug14226 Hi, check your model orientation, does it match the tutorial's? Look at the orientation of the axis arrows, it should match yours for the tutorial to work. Another way is to check your Mirror modifier's axis. The default is always X, try unchecking X and check Y to see if it works.
k so at i got to the wing part and where u pull it back along the y axis, when i try to do i have the end face of the wing highlighted i pull it back and the highlighted face moves back but the rest of the wing remains still. ????what did i do wrong????
@d1ffsta It could be possible that you have accidentally extruded another face at the wing tip. You can try pulling out the face, press this combination Ctrl+ (Numpad +) to select any additional faces. Ctrl + (Numpad -) to shrink selection. Delete the wing and try extruding it again. To fill the hole, select the edges surrounding the hole by pressing ALT+Right mouse click over one edge of the hole and then press F to fill it.
@atomofish Your orientation is probably not the same as mine. Go to the Modifiers in the Buttons Panel Below. Check which axis is turned on. By default X axis mirror is always on. Try activating other axis like Y or Z, but remember to disable the other axis you don't need. See if that will solve your problem. BTW, if you look carefully, the wing is oriented to the X axis (red line) and the Fuselage is oriented to the Y axis (green line)
@TheHDQuality Make sure you are in Edit mode, otherwise it won't work. Also this tutorial is meant for Blender 2.49B. Some earlier versions of 2.5 won't work, but I believe the latest 2.53Beta, the command works.
I've spent weeks trying to learn this program, watching videos and reading tutorials, and I've learned more in the last minute of this video that the past few weeks.
You middlemouse click and Drag to orbit the camera
Yes it's the "Tab" key
You use this combination "Ctrl +R" to activate loop cut while your cursor is over an edge, roll the middle mouse roller to specify how many segments you want to cut.
Very good! - Read several helpful walkthroughs and your video has me creating. I'll never be Bill Lear. /lol
