the tesla won because the Delorean didn't have any plutonium and the flux capacitor didn't get the 1.21 gigawats needed to travel through time and win the race.
owned... That's technology for ya. However the Delorean wasn't intended to be a sports car necessarily, they were more so focused on being radically different with the aesthetics. People complain that it's too heavy, too under-powered for its look, and way too expensive for the amount of performance you were getting.
There's really not too much from the 80's that would stand a chance against the Tesla Roadster. Go EVs!
Yeah the stainless steel made the car extremely heavy and was under powered.. I think the initial engine installment was a very small V6..The V8 models were pretty fast though...
@scott93257 What I meant to say was, there is no V8 model, aside from what your cousin Jed shoe-horned into your engine bay, just like someone has shoe-horned an industrial grade hair dryer motor into this particular DeLorean...
Too bad the douche in the gov't sponsored Tesla didn't even know how to stage.

Without "back to the future", the Delorean would have been long time forgotten due to his hideous look.

Really late start from the Delorean compared to the Tesla...

That's cool and all - But the Tesla doesn't time-travel at 88 miles per hour!

@SeanOBriain I doubt a first gen. DMC could get it up to 88! Thing is heavy as a tank and powered like a fiesta.

@djkillcrazy
I know exactly what you meant... I've seen Deloreans with V8 Mods but I KNOW they did not offer a stock V8..
scott93257 2 months ago
@ottawadrummer That was an electric powered DeLorean, you know.
