For one of the side options, its actually possible to gain build access onto the plateau which the bridge is on. Once you get there you can build lasers onto the bridge and deliberately trigger for the train to come and get destroyed.
The bridge cannot be destroyed by forced artillery fire as far as I know.

True, but it's not a detailed map like right before the mission. And does CABAL mean "She will return to the Medical Colony near Provo VIA Underground Railroad in Detroit. The desision to where you can capture her is at either one of the 2 locations.", or "She will do this, or do that."?
Is the tacitus aboard all alien ships or was it a simple unfortunate coincidence that it crashed onto earth? (Unfortunate for the aliens if it was important)

I think that CABAL shows them a map and indicates them in ~turn, so it's fairly clear.
