They're both masters. Playing fast riffs on bass is brutal on the fingers, arms and neck. Megadeth still rocks, as does Marty, off doing his own thing. Hope they're all around for a long time. They've given me a lot of musical enjoyment over the years (not to mention tendonitus trying to master their riffs).

@sonnic1995 From personal preference as a primary guitar player, I actually use fingers and I have been introducing myself to slap (It's HARD XD) but I don't shun people for using the pick. I'm not gonna say "Use your fingers, you'll be more legit." I use my fingers because I like the sound it has and it's weird for me using a pick with a bass lol. It all comes down to personal preference.

Look, David Ellefson is fucking badass and a fucking awesome bassist, but I don't know any bassist who is so fucking badass good as Steve DiGiorgio. He plays fretless with fingers in his band Sadus, in Death (With Chuck Schuldiner) or Testament. He is so fucking skilled, more skilled than any other bassist I know. He made me start play bass, fretless right on. Look him up.
