  • why dont rubiks cubes just come lubricated? i mean what the fuck have they been doing at rubiks for the past 30 years????

  • how long shud it be stcky, cuz mine after i used cilocone is kinna stiff...haha stiff... anyway, how long shud it be like this? pleaassseee reply,

  • do you people really go through all of this?... o.o

  • Guyz dont spray the silicone right on your rubiks cube. Through many cubes i used i found out that spraying the silicone right on will ruin it. Get a rag and spray the silicone on it and rub it on the inside of cube, no sticky feeling :)

  • when i bought my rubik's cube.. it turns just fine. I dont see why you have to lubricate it.. since over time when i use it will get more looser and turn better.

  • Haha045 Thats actually really smart idea it actually get looser eventually when u turn it more :D if u dont like that then id say this >>> CRC Heavy Duty Silicone

  • use coconut oil. it works like 10x better than silicone spray!

  • thanx!!!

  • ha, i just decided to check on my old vids and realised how young i sound in these videos, so funny and it didnt feel like it was already 2 years ago, hopefully i can start making new cubing videos again

  • wow, gotta try it. tomorrow i'm going to buy it at ace hardware

  • What do you do if some of the pieces turn white/gray?

  • FINALLY I FOUND OUT WHY!!! i got that 1st yellow lube for xmas and my diy type A sucked ... NOW I KNOW Y

  • wait, i didnt ruin my cube did i, can i just re-lube it with the better stuff

  • same thing happaned to me, i got mine at advanced auto parts, the first yellow one. ggrrrr

  • wd40 would not work it melts the plastic and will ruin your cube wd40 is for metal and silicone is for plastics

  • would wd40 work

  • Take it to the toilet , and piss on the cube. Trust me

  • atwoods, lowes, any hard wood store

  • The Liquid Wrench brand is bad for your cube. The best silicone spray for your cube is CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Multi-Use Lubricant spray (the red one he used).

  • cool i already have that heavy duty silicone

  • punch ur cube rofl man that was halarious, just freaking punch it lol sounds fun

  • oh yeah

    its true

punch it and it makes smoother

  • i just bought that heavy duty stuff

  • where??

  • i bought the liquide wrench silicone spray (the yellow one) and it worked just fine and my cube moves perfectly. and by the way where do you buy the crc beside that store you said

  • get it at a local hardware store

  • can i use wd40 safely????

  • if ur cube completely is tight u can use it to wear out the center

  • yeah otherwise its not a good idea(Actually makes it slower if it already moves good!!!)

  • damn it i just bought the yellow one

  • your such a fuking noob stop fucking saying "soo, thats pretty much it!!!" you only fucing said it 15 f-ing times..... you afraid of being on camera or something... get over over it you big baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u gay fuckin noob

  • WD-40 is the best!

  • my friend used WD-40 and his cube moves less... it eats away at your cube

  • dumbshit..wd40 is the worst lubricant for this stuff

  • i found some like 2-26 electrical lube from crc a can i use that

  • dude i think you might just be a homo

  • dude i think i might just be able to beat your ass badly so shut your fucking mouth.

  • haha you typical yank 12 year old

    i bet you're about 9stone

  • cant find heavy duty or food grade all i got is X5 all in 1 lube, will that work

  • omg i cant find grc silicon u only found wd 40 can i use wd 40?

  • no..wd 40 is oil based..not good for plastics..:P

  • u bitch its much better because the petrouleum jelly have chemicals so that it will eat your rubiks cube bitch

  • isnt silicone wut they put in fake boobs?

  • yes

  • WD-40 DOES work. It is better then vaseline, in terms of speed and how much it eats your cube. Don't even try saying that silicone doesnt eat your cube at all. IT DOES. Happened to mine.

  • Can I just use WD40 or is that not good?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Dont Use That!

  • i have Teflon Silicone Lubricant is that good for my cube??

  • is liquid wrench good?

  • Replying cubesolver95

DO NOT USE LIQUID WRENCH. From experience I can tell you that it is the worst kind of silicone lubricant ever. I recommend using CRC Silicone.

  • hes right!!!!please dont ruin your cube with it i had to return it and get crc

  • God... learn to edit. And learn to talk louder.

  • turn up the volume

  • i just use oil and petroleum jelly

  • dude oil and vaseline will burn ur stickers on u cube so it will start to peel and ur cube will look.....not cool lol

  • I found that graphite easily rivals silicone. Though it is a pain to clean up after lubing.

  • where you buy youre crc silicon

  • where do u get the heavy duty silicone

  • i got it at walmart

  • that wrench lube is really good. my cubes move super fast

  • No, silicone is the way to go.

  • i dont think so and your mom would not let you

  • secretly mah! haha.

  • i got the same keyboard

  • either way is acceptable...dont spray the center like the guy said. I actually took mine apart and sprayed each one individually

  • can u lube a cube with wd-40

  • no you can not...wd-40 is a oil base lubricant and will ruin your cube

  • thanks is there any thing besides silicon spray to lube

  • Jiga-Loo

  • u can use protrolium jelly :)

  • i used wd-40 it worked great after like a day

  • hey im a speedcuber. averaging 23.xx. the way i do it is, on a new cube, i lube all the pieces. for maintinence, i pop an edge and spray for 2-3 secs. this is the way to do it.

  • DON'T SPRAY THE CENTER.

That's all I can tell you.

  • That's a terrbile way to lubricate your Rubik's Cube. You're supposed to break it apart like he did then rub Vaseline in it, and you have to do that to each side to make it spin really good.

  • :( i used the yellow silicone i didn't know and one of my cubes suck now =[

  • lol ya i just bought the same crap today and sprayed it in my 4x4x4 and now the damned thing wont twist... oh well.

  • loll

  • i jus used wd-40 cuz dats the only thing i could find

  • so did i but after like a week it gets great

  • can u still get that crc heavy duty silicone at ace harware even tho i cant find it on their website?

  • U can buy it in pathmark, hardware stores, walmart and other places

  • well, i called them here in hawaii and they did

today i went to an autostore called checkers..they had pyroil silicone multi purpose lubricant...that's what i got because they never had the heavy duty silicone CRC

  • is ace harware guaranteed to have silicone?

  • ive checked lots of stored but i still cant find where to buy silicone can some1 tell me where?

  • walmart or ace hardware store..i called and asked and they do have CRC

  • fuck i got the wrong silicone

  • i lubed up my cube with vaselline and is that bad also how do i take off my vaselline on my 4x4x4 i know how on my 3x3x3

  • i have a question..i went to wal mart and bought silicone spray, it states that it haspetroleum distillate is that good?

  • anther good way of lubing your cube is frist use patrolleum jelly on inside of it then wait a week or 2 after messing with it then use silicon spray i can then get my cube to spin twice

  • thats exactly wat i do. i took the dissdvantage of the vaseline wearing the cube to my advantage and siliconed after it was worn. it makes it super fast

  • puting the lube on the sides will never work!

  • yea it does if u do it right

  • yeah it does.

  • Worked marvelously! Thanks!!!

  • no problem dude

  • I have a question. It's been a week since I lubricated my cube. Can I do it again a little bit?

  • Wow. Thank you. I got the same exact lubricant, so it made it a lot easier to understand the video and follow it. Can't wait to try it out!

  • I tried looking for some of tat CRC stuff at Ace hardware, but i wasn't able to find it. I already tried the liquid wrench in the middle (the yellow one), but like u said it sticks rather than lubes. While looking for the CRC at ace, I that they had a "pure silicone spray," the Ace brand. Do you think that it will help? Thanks

  • yea the pure silicone should work try it out on a cube u dont like. i took one old cube and expiremented with all types of lubes till i found one that worked which was the crc stuff.

  • i got my heavy duty silicone for $1.97 at Wal-Mart

  • you know whats funny? i spent a whole day lubricating my cube piece by piece then doing th e sand trick and everything only to find out i used the lubricant u said not to. I feel like killing myself right now

  • You can use penis lubricant too : )

  • ok... i havent tried it and never plan to but if it works for u then OK =]

  • rubiks brand r the real thing chump

  • Yep I used Vasline also, but I heard it is not as good as silicon spray... No matter.

  • lol suck this and suck that

  • i used vaseline and it works amazingly

  • plz reply back i bought a rubiks brand cube, when i bought it the sides had stickers on it is it supposed to be like dat? and also when u first buy a rubiks cube is it a bit hard to turn and after a while does it loosen up?

  • Rubik's brand cubes are among the worst cubes (besides imitation cubes). Mine turns OK, but I'm going to start lubricating it. It depends. My friend left his cube in the rain, and it turns really smoothly. But the best would be to use silicon spray (as recommended).

  • well if it isnt a rubik's brand, they cant call it a rubik's cube

  • that should be normal for a rubiks at 8dollars

  • haha maybe u bought the beginners cube, u cant scramble it all the sides are a solid colour-black

  • soo i bough the middle one and i used.. (befor i found this vid) and it has this really bad odor and it made cube slower.. i put it in warm soapy water and cleaned it and that didnt work.. so can u tell me how to take the odor away or how to take it all away from my cube.. and i was reading on the back how it had some weird stuff in it.. and im wondering if i cant get it off.. thenn. will i have to wash my hands EVERY time i use it.. Thnx for your time.

  • probably wash your hands everytime they come in contact with chemicals, just take a dry cloth and wipe the pieces that might make it beter.

  • Remember that "just wiping isn't clean" say it on a feminine wash ad.

  • i had a normal silicon lube and it came out clear..then i went out and got this stuff called "GUNK heavy duty silicon lubricant" and when it comes out when i spray it..its lke white..is your like that too?? how is it when it comes out? czu i dunno if i got the right stuff

  • you did the same thing i did, yours is the middle one from the beggining right? that stuff is bad it will ruin your cubes and is bad to be around, it can be toxic. when i used it i couldnt turn my cube. stop using as soon as possible and go to ace hardware and get the crc stuff.

  • lol ive been speedcubing for about 2 months now, and ive gotten down into the sub 40s average with the liquid wrench silicone, you think getting the heavy duty will be even better

  • yea if your getting that fast with the liquid wrench...get the crc heavy duty silicone and you will be much faster. i couldnt even turn my cube with the liquid wrench.

  • ya.. that's real helpful...

  • ^_^
