Was that Transformers a cardboard cutout cause I felt like it was popping out of the screen as if it was 3D. And also what was the name of that super sentai movie? was it a anniversary movie cause I saw a whole bunch of the red sentai characters on there.
I love how the Japanese man saw you doing your Jack Sparrow bit, so he did a 180 and started walking in the opposite direction. He did not want to walk into an awkward situation, lol.
Honestly why can't people here in America think like this? I use to work at a theater and there would be trash everywhere. If people in Japan and think orderly and civilized than we can too...
By the way, I have not watched the movie series yet, because I missed the chance to watch the first of the movie, but I will rent DVD of the movies someday. and maybe, I will laugh that I remember your walking style, at that time.
Theaters in Japan are far more interesting than the ones in the US. (Imo.) There's more varieties of foods, videos, and other concessions. They're also cleaner I guess because you can't bring trash into the theater unlike theaters in the US. (Some are quite nasty. Believe me... I've been to some despite of the fact that I rarely watch movies in the theater anymore.) In any case, keep up these really interesting videos. Love them. <3 ^_^
Wow....the food is so much cheaper at the cinema in Japan, than it is here in the US. The variety is awesome too, we just get pizza, candy and popcorn. A small drink alone is ¥450, and a small popcorn is ¥650. Glad to see that there are some cheaper places still left.
Movie theater on this video is so-called"sine-kon"(comes from cinema complex),which have around 10screens in a theater.
It's american style theaters. These theaters are becoming popular in Japan just a decade or so? in my memory.Old style theaters are almost vanished now.
I prefer old style japanese movie theaters.Maybe the author of this video doesn't know about that...
Someone(foreigner) on the internet translated Hokuhoku into "steaming hot," "piping hot," "comforting" or "hearty." And some japanese explains "soft, steaming, easily broken, and appetizing"
So my explanation was not accurate, thoguh I 'm Japanese lol It's difficult to explain, hokuhoku is hokuhoku,so hokuhoku is better without translating it.Japanese language has many words like that.
You met Jack Sparrow....and also the Gokaiger (Pirate Super Sentai a.k.a Power Rangers ).... + One Piece - that would be a complete Pirate Trio in Japan! :D
I don't know anyone who doesn't bring their trash out. Then again, in a dark theater, there is bound to be a piece of popcorn (or two... or half the container :o)
I saw the Pirates movie on Monday night in Shinjuku with my Japanese friend. The Japanese audience was very polite. They waited until the end credits were done to leave. The movie was subtitled in Japanese, and the audio track was in English.
I saw that movie in Japan with my Japanese friend on Monday night. The Japanese audience was very polite. They waited until the credits were over to leave.
I remember being in Osaka in 1986 visiting my family. My old man and I went and saw Commando when I was 11. Subtitled in Japanese with the original English dialog. It was really fun. Only time I've ever seen a movie in all the times I've been in Japan.
This was really interesting, thank you for posting. Have you ever been to concerts in Japan? I went to 3 concerts in Tokyo and the organisation was way much better than the concerts in London. You are funny in your videos, you make me laugh.
they need to bring japanese movies to america like they bring american movies to japan. i would love to know what kinds of movies have been coming out there.
I wonder if there's Japanese guy here in the US or in Australia cranking out really interesting videos on life in the US, and posting them on his Japanese Youtube channel.
@Capt777harris TheAmericaChannelDcom? Where they tell foreigners to just leave their trash on the floor, and teach them about tagging in every public bathroom.
It would be interesting to see America through a foreigners eyes, I'd watch it.
@DeathOfAMudkip You know, I think there's something too that. The US in large sections used to be societally like Japan (not everywhere), but a little less concerned about rights and more concerned about neighborly conduct. Not so much today.
i wish the U.S. was that clean. everyone's lazy and usually spill everywhere or leave their garbage on a table or something. lol when u walked around like an idiot with the glasses made me laugh
that is a huge difference between Japan and many western countries. Here, you almost never see people bringing out their food and drinks after the movie ends. 90% of people just leave them under their seats. Collective thinking vs individual thinking.
Hey you have to go to Shibuya and do the Jack Sparrow walk dressed up as a pirate. No point doing it when there aren't ten-thousand Japanese people gawking at you, is there?
The movie u see at 2:15 is one of the biggest movie that i want to see with substitle of course
why i say that? cause im a HUGE fan of Super Sentai (which is the original of power rangers) its cover all 199 super sentai in the history in this movie to fight evil, and u can see all 33 megazord (well the first 2 sentai didnt got a megazord so ...) if i was you and you still had a couple yen to see another movie. I have been to some theaters in L.A. pretty bad after movie is over. Always love your videos.
@lynxkitty6 I think that might just be non-American theatres. Even this cheap theatre in Chinatown here in Sydney had a clean floor (but all the chairs were broken).
@t3hpyr0x Quite possibly; I have yet to go to the movies in NYC without stepping in some unknown sticky substance that attempts to steal my shoe. Word of advice, never wear sandals to the movies in NYC lol!
