  • I wish I could like this more than once! I LOVE Jack Sparrow too! And your impression was highly amusing xD

  • Did anyone see that Japanese guy turn around the moment he saw him walking like Jack Sparrow?? x)

  • @PeircedinBlood That made me lol

  • POWER RANGERS + BEER!!! perfect!

  • Two things: One, are you aware that a Tintin movie is coming out?

Second, how big are the L size drinks at Toho Cinemas?

  • MIght I ask...Have you ever done a video on.....Touhou?

  • Was that Transformers a cardboard cutout cause I felt like it was popping out of the screen as if it was 3D. And also what was the name of that super sentai movie? was it a anniversary movie cause I saw a whole bunch of the red sentai characters on there.

  • How did You manage to get Jack for Your vid? 8)

  • lol, maybe they should hire you as jack sparrow's actor in next movie :D

  • somehow i missed this video thus haven't watched this one yet :o

  • I love how the Japanese man saw you doing your Jack Sparrow bit, so he did a 180 and started walking in the opposite direction. He did not want to walk into an awkward situation, lol.

  • Honestly why can't people here in America think like this? I use to work at a theater and there would be trash everywhere. If people in Japan and think orderly and civilized than we can too...

  • Last thirty seconds were priceless! xD

  • lol cinema food is cheaper here in Chicago. A large popcorn cost 9 dollars

  • @ 3:42 rofl with your jack sparrow walk, i think you scared the other guy who was coming out

  • HAHA YOU DID IT GREAT!!! JACK SPARROW!!!

  • I laughed that I watched your walking style.

By the way, I have not watched the movie series yet, because I missed the chance to watch the first of the movie, but I will rent DVD of the movies someday. and maybe, I will laugh that I remember your walking style, at that time.

    ヽ(・∀・)ノ

  • Curry popcorn is great. You should try if you have not done. Could see you were bit stuck on the pork sand.....Potato !

  • That was a very Sparrow way to walk around, I got it.

  • I already thought: is he going to film the movie? O.o

    gues not XD

  • Two thumbs up!! for the Jack Sparrow walk.

  • Theaters in Japan are far more interesting than the ones in the US. (Imo.) There's more varieties of foods, videos, and other concessions. They're also cleaner I guess because you can't bring trash into the theater unlike theaters in the US. (Some are quite nasty. Believe me... I've been to some despite of the fact that I rarely watch movies in the theater anymore.) In any case, keep up these really interesting videos. Love them. <3 ^_^

  • Love the idea of having a place to dump liquids! Must make recycle and trash easier to work with.

  • they let u bring a camera into the movie theatre?

  • What's that animated(?) film in the middle there at 0:06?

  • they need menus like that in theaters over here!!!

  • it's almost sad how many people still are children and need others to clean after them... the theaters here look like a warzone after a movie.

i wonder if the world will ever be even half as decent as japan is now.

  • Haha,nice Jack Sparrow impersonation!,XD

  • Was that a Power Rangers film promotion??? I didn't even know there were new films made of this series...

  • i definitely pressed the 'like' button for the jack sparrow walk. I wish I could press it again.

  • they got a healthier menu than the cinemas i've been in,where it's usually just popcorn and candies

  • Wow....the food is so much cheaper at the cinema in Japan, than it is here in the US. The variety is awesome too, we just get pizza, candy and popcorn. A small drink alone is ¥450, and a small popcorn is ¥650. Glad to see that there are some cheaper places still left.

  • goodness... concessions prices are even steeper in Japan...

  • lolz i would love to see jack sparrow in japanese!! when it comes on dvd could you show us?

  • Very nice

  • Movie theater on this video is so-called"sine-kon"(comes from cinema complex),which have around 10screens in a theater.

It's american style theaters. These theaters are becoming popular in Japan just a decade or so? in my memory.Old style theaters are almost vanished now.

I prefer old style japanese movie theaters.Maybe the author of this video doesn't know about that...

  • 4:00 sentai movie:)

  • You reminded me of mr bean when you were walking like that lol.

  • Did you have an experience that you laugh first because you understood the dialogue then the Japanese laugh later when it was translated?

  • I'm a Jack Sparrow fan too!

I just have this question thou, was the movie English when you watched it or re-dubbed to Japanese?

  • What is hoku hoku??

  • @gggu

One of the imitative sound which means "hot" in Japanese.

Also you can use the word when you have plenty of bills in your wallet.

  • @kyixtol Haha cool thanks. So they sell 'hothot' potatoes...

  • @gggu

Someone(foreigner) on the internet translated Hokuhoku into "steaming hot," "piping hot," "comforting" or "hearty." And some japanese explains "soft, steaming, easily broken, and appetizing"

So my explanation was not accurate, thoguh I 'm Japanese lol It's difficult to explain, hokuhoku is hokuhoku,so hokuhoku is better without translating it.Japanese language has many words like that.

    (onomatopoeia).

  • @kyixtol Haha thanks I understand what you mean though, the phrase has taken on a meaning of it's own.

  • It's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow!

  • nice walk LOL

  • you ARE a silly old dude :)

  • They also sell beer on Dutch movie theaters... Gotta miss Holland =(

  • You met Jack Sparrow....and also the Gokaiger (Pirate Super Sentai a.k.a Power Rangers ).... + One Piece - that would be a complete Pirate Trio in Japan! :D

  • :O curry popcorn looks tasty

  • I can hear some Japanese people saying, "why is that foreigner doing walking around and making silly hand gestures?" Good video though!

  • Is the food overpriced like it is at an American Cinema?

  • Turansuforma!

  • Nice acting. You forgotten the hand thing Jack does.

  • LOOOOL :DDDD hahahaha, you rock ;)

  • Ministry of Silly Walks? XD

  • Can you upload the Japanese voice of Jack sparrow? I'm just wondering what the voice sounds like xD

  • @kugre101 I think they only subtitle, don't they? I would love to listen to soooooo many voices of some movies in japanese :DDDD

  • @kugre101 tried searching "pirates of the caribbean japanese"? should be a sample there

  • I love the pirates of the carribean movies too! Very entertaining. Funny walk, Sir, made me laugh. Thank you for the video!

  • you need to practice your jack sparrow walk hahaha

  • I've heard that it's rude to laugh during movies in the cinema (except maybe comedies) in Japan - is it truth?

  • Movie night in Japan, that would be so FUN!

  • TOHO Cinemas is awesome in Roppongi Hills. My favorite theatre.

  • I love Johnny Depp

  • XD you're so funny!

I like your videos every week, thats so great <3

  • haha i love your jack sparrow impressions x)

  • lol didn't you get arrested for doing that weird dance ? xD

  • I don't know anyone who doesn't bring their trash out. Then again, in a dark theater, there is bound to be a piece of popcorn (or two... or half the container :o)

  • You forgot to mention the weirdo plastic trays they give you to put your food in and attach to the chair.

  • Gundum is so much better than transformers

  • I saw the Pirates movie on Monday night in Shinjuku with my Japanese friend. The Japanese audience was very polite. They waited until the end credits were done to leave. The movie was subtitled in Japanese, and the audio track was in English.

  • @Nsan Really? The entire audience watched the credits? Is that the custom there?

  • I saw that movie in Japan with my Japanese friend on Monday night. The Japanese audience was very polite. They waited until the credits were over to leave.

  • @Nsan Yeah, I was surprised the first time I saw a movie here, how everyone waits until the credits finish scrolling before they exit the cinema.

  • Hilarious and informative video. Thank you!

  • I remember being in Osaka in 1986 visiting my family. My old man and I went and saw Commando when I was 11. Subtitled in Japanese with the original English dialog. It was really fun. Only time I've ever seen a movie in all the times I've been in Japan.

  • LOL!! Your Jack Sparrow walks made me almost break the like button.

  • Your Jack Sparrow impression cracked me right up. Cheers mate.

  • This was really interesting, thank you for posting. Have you ever been to concerts in Japan? I went to 3 concerts in Tokyo and the organisation was way much better than the concerts in London. You are funny in your videos, you make me laugh.

  • they need to bring japanese movies to america like they bring american movies to japan. i would love to know what kinds of movies have been coming out there.

  • Other then the recycling not much different then here in California USA

  • He's walking like Mr. Bean, lol.

  • lol @ the Jack sparrow walk.

  • I work at a movie theater. My job would be a breeze if people actually bothered to pick up their own trash..

  • @rustoopid92 But then again, you wouldn't have a job if people picked up after themselves. Or atleast you wouldn't get as many hours as you do now.

  • @SVTcoolguy Haha. Good point. It's a pretty cushy job as it is.

  • Japan only movie release:

    Samurai of the Caribbean

  • @cakestalker i think he is just trying to have fun no need to be harshed on the guy

  • @cakestalker sounds like somebody needs a timeout from the channel.

  • @cakestalker asshole

  • Hes the chester of Tortuga..

  • oh hey aussie man, can you tell me what that anime is at 00:06 ?

  • @SuperTrancend

May I answer you instead of him?

Do you know Osamu Tezuka? It's "Osamu Tezuka's Buddha".

  • @kyixtol oh crazy ill have to check it out. thx^^

  • Comment removed

  • Regarding the end, you could submit your walk to the ministry of silly walks :p

  • Dubs sick, subs ftw! Also, POTC ftw!

  • why is the sake gone

  • @animeandanimals it seems that they have

    *puts on sunglasses

    rum out

  • 面白ぉぉぉぉぉい! :)

  • It would be nice to fluently speak Japanese so if I were to go to one of these movies, I would be able to watch it and feel awesome!

  • "Hey! Hey! You're outside the theatre! Take off those---" *WHAM* "....3D glasses."

  • How did you enjoy the new Pirates movie?

  • was it electronic glasses? because last time i got the red/blue one (like 5years ago) and i almost died (eye).

  • I wonder if there's Japanese guy here in the US or in Australia cranking out really interesting videos on life in the US, and posting them on his Japanese Youtube channel.

  • @Capt777harris TheAmericaChannelDcom? Where they tell foreigners to just leave their trash on the floor, and teach them about tagging in every public bathroom.

It would be interesting to see America through a foreigners eyes, I'd watch it.

  • @DeathOfAMudkip You know, I think there's something too that. The US in large sections used to be societally like Japan (not everywhere), but a little less concerned about rights and more concerned about neighborly conduct. Not so much today.

  • i wish the U.S. was that clean. everyone's lazy and usually spill everywhere or leave their garbage on a table or something. lol when u walked around like an idiot with the glasses made me laugh

  • that is a huge difference between Japan and many western countries. Here, you almost never see people bringing out their food and drinks after the movie ends. 90% of people just leave them under their seats. Collective thinking vs individual thinking.

    Peace!

  • Golden Jack Sparrow walk. +1

  • Hey you have to go to Shibuya and do the Jack Sparrow walk dressed up as a pirate. No point doing it when there aren't ten-thousand Japanese people gawking at you, is there?

  • "LET'S all go to the lobby, LET'S all go to the lobby. LET'S all go to the lobby, to have ourselves a treat!"

  • Another great video. Haha...that Jack Sparrow walk made my day.

  • You reminded me of Mr. Bean the way you were walking around.

  • 3:44 dude in background is like, "Oh god, a foreigner. Walk the other way..." lol

  • @rcktmn3412 LMAO!!

  • @rcktmn3412 haha i cought that too funny stuff

  • @rcktmn3412 win comment!

  • @rcktmn3412 ahahahahahahahahahahah it's true

  • @theJapanChannelDotCom, did you see Space Battleship Yamato?

  • "Very embarrasing display" ahahahah, epic giant gaijin playing Jack Sparrow is epic

  • xD hahahaha Who doesn't love Jack Sparrow? I love how clean Japan is. ^^ I am really looking forward to it.

  • Huh, so they actually play the Super Sentai movies in theaters? I figured those would be DVD only. Not sure why.

  • lol your silly! Love you and your videos ^^

  • I think you may have scared the guy away at 3:42 lol

  • You act like jack sparrow PERFECTLY!

  • I thought Toho only made movies.

Thank you for showing the outlit chane.

  • so, how good were your 3d glasses outside of the theater?

  • Question: What other American movies do they show in Japan?

  • Great impersonation of Jack Sparrow : )

  • This is your best video yet!!!

  • Dear JCD

The movie u see at 2:15 is one of the biggest movie that i want to see with substitle of course

why i say that? cause im a HUGE fan of Super Sentai (which is the original of power rangers) its cover all 199 super sentai in the history in this movie to fight evil, and u can see all 33 megazord (well the first 2 sentai didnt got a megazord so ...) if i was you and you still had a couple yen to see another movie. I HIGHLY RECOMMAND YOU to see it at june 11th!!!

    you wont regret it!!!

  • Here in Pa they just throw it on the floor..guess it gives people jobs to go clean it up

  • @PandaUppercut57 Sweden too :)

  • i bet you're quite a treat for the Japanese people. love your sense of humor. on topic: i would go to the cinema just for the food. sure beats a Hotdog and a bucket Popcorn!

  • I live in California and I haved moved to Lake Elsinore and go to the Theater in Corona big difference from when I lived in Orange County people leave their trash were they sat at the Corona theater I have not seen any one leave trash on the floor except popcorn dropped by people while eating. I have been to some theaters in L.A. pretty bad after movie is over. Always love your videos.

  • its great to see your silly side on your JCDC page. hope you act like this more often! fun for everyone!

  • Subtitle is still more popular than dubbing in Japan.

  • Japanese cinemas; the only movie place where your feet don't get stuck to the floors as you are walking...er trying to walk.

  • @lynxkitty6 I think that might just be non-American theatres. Even this cheap theatre in Chinatown here in Sydney had a clean floor (but all the chairs were broken).

  • @t3hpyr0x Quite possibly; I have yet to go to the movies in NYC without stepping in some unknown sticky substance that attempts to steal my shoe. Word of advice, never wear sandals to the movies in NYC lol!

  • I enjoyed your acting skills the most out of this video, Keep up the good work ;-)

  • Nice looking menu, as always :))

  • "Why's the rum gone?" - my favorite Jack Sparrow quote ever :')

  • i liked all the food they have in Japan x3

  • I am a HUGE movie fanatic, so this video really caught my eye. I like all your videos, they're such an insight to another place. But a THEATRE?! Oh my gosh, you gotta do more of these pretty please! :))))

  • 0:22 - Totally how Jack Sparrow would have looked when he found a movie he liked!! XD

3:42 - Wandering like Jack again, Win!! ^__^

  • SUPER SENTAI!!!!!

  • This is one of my favorite videos by you! Love it! I was interested to hear how people pick up after themselves at the theater! I wish they would do that here too! What a great idea!

  • Thank you for the funny video.

  • Comment removed

  • I mean, SUPER SENTAI!!!

  • Go ranger!

  • Oh you xDD CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow really is the best~ We have recycle bins here in Taiwan everywhere, but I don't think we have them in the theaters... I'll check next time when I go watch Pirates~

  • How much beer did you have in the theater? lol walking around all silly. :p

  • @TheInsanemonkeyboy

I think the 3-D glasses messed with his vision XD

  • @TheInsanemonkeyboy Probably not enough to make Cars 2 watchable, even with Japanese dub...

  • You are amazing! Keep it up!

  • Let's plunder some dubloons for a better life!

Wait.. So how do you say "Arrr" in Japanese?!

  • do they reserve the liquids from that machine? lol japanese efficiency

  • I love that you did this a little more like a vlog with yourself playing in the vid. You should do it more often. It made me smile

  • I saw this poster today, made me giggle. And I saw one of a Chinese pirate film, looked pretty much like a rip off of that, just with Chinese actors. That was last week.

  • you can drink beer while watching a movie? where do i sign up

  • Japanese theaters are bad ass.

  • Great idea of the recycle bins in the theater.I really hope it catches on here in the states. I didn't notice any candy on the signs for food,is there any?

  • @1964Yojimbo

    Yes.

Covered it on the other video called "Japanese movie theatre" on the "Fun Parks & Game Centres" playlist.

  • @1964Yojimbo There aren't recycle bins in theaters in the states? o.O They have them in Canada...weird. The only thing we didn't have was the spot to dump your liquids. Great idea!

  • that was a pretty good impersonation i liked it
