What about my problem then:

Got new laptop with realtek microphone. I've updated it, and wanted to try it out on my Skype, but what keeps happening is that people i'm calling are saying that they hear my microphone, but not my voice, just a bunch of electronic things. My mic is on and there is sound, but it only makes weird noices and thats it! Any help here?

Hey i don't know if you can help with this...I have windows 7 on my laptop and the built in mic works if i use sound recorder but it doesn't when i'm on yahoo messenger. I've checked the driver. I've fiddled around with the sound settings in control panel and also run the call set up assistant for yahoo messenger. Do you have any suggestions?

@musiquelover03 Well you shouldn't of 'fiddled' with the sound settings in the first place. Did you do the guide to this video? If you did and it didn't work, try find a button that says restore settings to default. It will set all your things you fiddled with back to normal.
