  • nickelback is actuly a good band.. better then 3days grace..

  • @wangobangodango obvious troll is obvious

  • @TheZaonhort This!

  • @wangobangodango I really hope you're trying to be funny.

  • 2:38 looooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

  • I hate Nickelback as much as the next guy but if the kind of music Nickelback did wasnt around then some other music would be mainstream... THEN... Nickelback would show up and be awesome because its something new.

  • Thumbs down for defending Nickelback in any way, shape, or form.

  • This is actually really cool sounding!! :D

  • Yeah sorry, but they are really the same song.

  • That is absolutely crazy....

  • OMG that dog must be so embaressed... and then there is the one who puked

  • sounds the same to me...

  • lol, nickelback is such a bad band

  • If you can't hear the similarities, you probably don't have great ears or know much about music theory. Which is unfortunately most people. If anything, you can tell that the verses and choruses line up perfectly. The major differences between the songs are the melody, lyrics and the key (which has been altered to prove the point that the harmonic progression is essentially the same. That being said, hit songs often follow a formula, which is shown in Axis of Awesome's Four Chord Song video.

  • Wow. Haters gonna hate, much?

  • The vomiting dog... wtf?

  • @johndharvey one time i was bangin a chick with the radio playing in the background on and a nickelback song came on... ya i vomited on her

  • I know that it's nickelback, and their songs sound the same, but it's still better than half the crap the media produces. Some of their songs aren't bad!

  • whats worse than listening to 2 Nickelback songs at once? Arguing with fans over why popularity doesnt necessarily mean talent

  • Stuck in a room with Nickelback and Creed...

    It's obvious, bye Creed.

  • i forget im listening to two seperate songs here

  • Someone else made a better overlap by slowing down one of the tracks by less than a beat, and guess what? The tempo isn't similar, it's IDENTICAL.

  • its recylced because its got the same pattern of the build up at certain times, and listen to the drums, they actually sound like its played by one person, so doesn't so that say for 1 part that it is recycled.

  • Tbh, I love both of these songs :)

  • a conundrum: you're trapped in a room with nickelback and creed. you only have one grenade. what do you do?

  • @jaythefatty I don't see the conundrum, unless you're saying 1 grenade might not kill both bands. If you were trapped in a room with only their music you would kill yourself anyway, so having them there in person is a no-brainer (like their music). I suppose you could use the grenade to blow a hole in the wall and escape, but then they could get out and make more music. Personally I couldn't go on living with that on my conscience.

  • @customsongmaker yeah, one grenade for one band. sorry i should've clarified that. maybe you could pull the pin and pretend to throw it at one band, and if you were lucky they would run toward the other band, then you could throw it real quick and try to get both of them. in that case i'd do the pretend throw at nickelback because, i don't know, they just seem stupider.

  • @customsongmaker You are my hero for your response to the conundrum comment that jaythefatty made. Thank you.

  • @customsongmaker use it to burrow out your own ears.

  • @customsongmaker that was hilarious!! "... blow a hole in the wall and escape, but then they could get out and make more music." well played, worthy adversary.

  • @jaythefatty Fortunately I have trained in Okinawa under a great karate master, who taught me that the duty of a karateka is to use his skills to make the world a better place.

I would tear their fucking heads off with my bear hands.

  • @jaythefatty use it to burrow out your own ears.

  • @jaythefatty if i HAD to throw it at one of the bands...i'd throw it at creed because, even though i dont hate creed, i dont like them either and nickelback is pretty good imo (cmon on haters...COME AT ME)

  • @jaythefatty Invite everyone except Mark Tremonti to pray on Scott Stapp's bible for future musical success, inside of which you have placed the grenade. Run away during the first 3 seconds of the prayer and voilà! One of the greatest American guitarists is saved and free to explore other projects, and there will be no more new Creed or Nickelback albums. However... the deaths will cause even more airplay in "memorial" for the two deceased bands...

  • @jaythefatty put the grenade in my mouth and pull the pin.

  • @JoeWantsCake You took the words out of my mouth (just don't take out the grenade, please). XD

  • Comment removed

  • @jaythefatty throw the nade in between them making a hole out and killing both bands at the same time

  • @jaythefatty One grenade is more than enough to kill myself. It's fine.

  • @jaythefatty pull the pin and hold it

  • @jaythefatty Kill Nickelback. Ya sure Scott Stapp or however you spell its a dick but atleast some of there songs are managable.

  • @jaythefatty I pull the pin of the nade but hold the lever in place. I then open the door and allow only the guitarist, bass player, and drummer of Creed to leave the room. (might get their autograph first). Then I close the door, count to ten, & let her rip. The surviving members of Creed will live, only to continue working with Myles Kennedy and produce some more AMAZING 'Alter Bridge' albums. Creed's 'My Sacrifice' is played at Mine, Stapp's, & Nickelback's Funerals. The End. (Late Re I know)

  • Gah, Someday (left channel) has been sped up....

  • 2:23 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • please, ok maybe they can be a little similar but who cares people like there music and that all it matters and wow two songs are similar and thats a reason to hate nickelback i don't think so

  • @alfazzxx

Your comment is severely lacking punctuation.

  • lol

  • I think that people just forget that music is supposed to be for an audience, and whether or not nickelback songs sounds similar is irrelevant, they sell millions of albums and fill stadiums, so they are satisfying their fans. Though I think they do need to branch out more, the truth about music is that only a small minority of people really care about the musical complexity and the real point of music (in my opinion) is to reach out to others and to entertain. That's all nickelback tries to do.

  • Crack dealers satisfy their audience even better. They sell a lot more deadly drugs than Nickelback sells albums. But just because fools eat something up doesn't mean it's good for them.

  • @BluefalconJAR Beethoven was supposed to be for an audience too, but that doesn't mean HE would have gotten away with it if the 9th sounded like Fur Elise. And before you quote commercialism and "selling such and such records", keep in mind that people like Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Bach were, in terms of popularity, the Nickelbacks and Lady Gagas of their time. Lazy and uninspired is inexcusable.

  • @DragonXero Thanks a bunch for making me imagine Tchaikovsky dancing like Lady Gaga. Lovely image, that.

  • @clyhiz Watch the movie Amadeus and you might have an even easier time imagining Mozart doing it. I'm not really sure if that's better or worse, but it sure is funny to think about.

  • @BluefalconJAR Yeah I do agree with you, (and personalty I don't even like Nickelback) but it dose not hurt to know that they all sound the same anyway.

I think we should be targeting 4 cord songs (at least after the period that they stop playing wicked guitar solos) they are what have been killing good music.

  • oh, and also you skipped "now the story's played out like this, just like a paperback novel" in "someday", thus making the choruses start at the same time. so your logic is, yet again, proved wrong. nice job.

  • nickelback is a HUGE band. they're coming close to my area and the worst seats available are still over 100$. you know why? because people LOVE nickelback. you know why? because theyre AMAZING.

    common logic. duh.

    thanks.

  • @DandiDanielle2839

You're a sheep. People love Dane Cook too, that doesn't mean he's talented. Baaa! Baaa!

  • @forcebwitya yeah, you're cool. i'm a sheep? that's a new one. haha. good job at making a really lame insult. :]

  • @DandiDanielle2839

just keep following the flock. you'll do fine.

  • @forcebwitya i'm sure i will. thanks for the advice, friend. :D

  • HAHAHA I wonder if anyone knows why it is main stream. Maybe because a lot of people like it? Look Nickleback songs may sound a lot alike and might match up a little to well but sometimes that is good. Nickleback knows how to make songs like this very well and I like to hear the same kind of music form the same band. I also like a lot of non-main stream music but it is funny to see how upset people get about a band making music and people liking it. :D

  • it all sounds like one song to me... i don't understand why you think differently

  • Better with vuvuzela.

  • Here's the problem with sarcasm-

Anyone stupid enough to defend Nickelback is stupid enough to make the arguments you made in the description. In real life, there are ways to make the sarcasm evident, even obvious, but online it's just words.

  • Hey,Hold on a fucking minute!!! In Someday you skipped

"Now the story's played out like this,Just like a paperback story...

That's the only reason the choruses start at the same time.

If you upload it with ALL of the lyrics you could see that they're diiferrent

  • the pics are cracking me up

  • have a look at chord progression you'll notice what nickelback haters talk about :)

  • Does It Really Fuckin Matter What People Think Everyone Has Their Own Musical Opinion... I Don't really Care What People Think About Nickelback That's Just Some Ass Backwards Person's Typing It Doesn't Scare Me... And Don't Insult How I Type This Is Actually How I Was Taught To Type.. And They Didn't Mean For Them To Sound The Same...

  • @darkhorse4eva What Is Up With Capitalizing Every First Letter Of Every Word?

  • wow ur retarded if u think this isn't the same, besides ur reasoning for why they aren't the same is retarded. They're off by a few seconds in maybe a few parts, big deal, they are ultimately the same composition with minor tweaks. nice twicks btw

  • I actually couldn't hear the transition between the two songs, sounded like one song

  • hahaha

  • Oh, and check out "Linkin Park: 2 Songs Sound Similar".... Because they have similar songs in their discography it means they suck? The only thing is that your idiot bands do not have (and never will) so many fans as these bands (and as a result not many haters, too) to compare some of their "unique" songs! Get a life, haters! Btw, even for a hater, this video sucks if you try to watch it....

  • Good job, this is way better than that other video which claimed two Nickelback songs were the same and failed at it... They really are the same in this one.

  • same chords and drums

  • If you really think this shit is good music, go out tomorrow and buy the first Doors album, which is self-titled. You might have your mind blown.

  • nickelback fuckin blows

  • The reason we say its recycled is because of the song structure, and how the songs are usually about the same thing. They didnt do anything to change music. Its the same cookie cutter bullshit that you always hear. Now some of that isnt too bad, but Ticklesack does nothing good for rock.

Personally, I think Ticklesack is a phase for people. I enjoyed them for about one year when I was young, and so did my friends. Then we found other bands, and forgot Ticklesack even existed.

  • Wow, some people just don't get it. Hilarious video.

  • the point of this mashup WASNT to say that they match up perfectly literally. Rather, musically, they follow the same direction, flow, etc. notice that the beginnings start out the same groove. Then notice that the build is exactly the same and the chorus reaches the same peaks and falls. notice also the same structure. if both songs perfectly mashed up, yes that would be obvious. But dont listen to individual notes, listen to the music as a whole. then you'll hear nickelbacks lack of creativity

  • Somewhere an epileptic Nickelback fan is clenching his\her fist in anger.....while flopping on the floor like a fish.

  • lmfao logic fail.

it's like one song is providing only backup vocals for the other song. there is no difference in the melody. not even in the goddamn bridge.

  • are you serious? both of the songs are at the same tempo, in the same key, and YES they do have choruses at the same time. epic. fail.

  • Wait are you being sarcastic about them not being the same song back to back in your description? I hope? If not ...wow.

  • This video is fucking awesome. Nice job dude. Makin Fire....lol.

  • Wow, you're a complete moron or sarcastic... either way you fail.

  • no it's not recycled it's just shit made twice asshole!!!

  • hahahaha

  • fail

  • I' don't want my nickelback, I want my lunch back. I get sick listening to these hacks.

  • @pacorpse666 Noone forced you to. Wtf is wrong with you?...

  • the music sounds normal..... like it matches, but the vocals dont match

  • Thankfully, I tuned out the song because I was laughing at the video.

  • Wow, look at all of the idiots that didn't catch the sarcasm!

  • Sounds incredibly similar to me. I'm not sure if this is your intent, but this video does a great job of bashing Nickelback.

  • lol, so what's the point you're trying to make here? It sounds the same in this one too

  • Just like a Nickelback novel.

  • What's worse than listening to Nickelback? Listening to 2 of their songs at the same time.

  • @Deppizzymo

    zing!

  • nickelback fucking sucks if you like nickelback your a fucking faggot.

  • well that was fun....... yup that band sucks... playing into the simple minds of dummies....

  • no band is that stupid to copy there song it common sense

  • no band is that stupid to copy there own songs it common scene

  • @theMist09

    english please

  • you know i really don't care for how my English is

  • I'm impressed.

  • People this guy is right! They DON'T sound anything like each other.

  • Sw33tVictory,

they're songs do sound different yes,

but many real musicians will know that their songs don't stray too far from a certain key.. that's why "someday" and "how you remind me" can be played at the same time without clashing too much

then again, how many bands really do make their songs radically different

  • @ velo66 and anyone else that reads my comment, please note there is sarcasm in there. And velo66, your completely right. Many great bands like Metallica, the Ramones, and Linkin Park have many songs that sound very similar.

  • not very many, because each band has its owns style.

  • Soooo... you used a video that proves nickelback recycle songs to try and prove they don't recycle songs?

It's clear here that both songs have the same progression of chords, whether or not this is a coincidence is unknown.

  • Anybody catch the sarcasm in the title and description? No? Oh you, Youtube.

  • I honestly didn't hear much of a difference, but the fact that the other vido has some slight edits doesn't matter, the songs are ridiculously similar

  • uhm...

have you noticed how "nice" these songs sound together? as in, they kind of go together? don't really clash?

they have the same chords and similar enough everything that, well. this could be just another of those "listen they're the same!" videos.

also. finding -one- instance where the songs aren't "the same" does not prove that -most- of the songs aren't the same anyway.

  • "listen they're the same!" songs are cool, when the two songs are by different bands... When it's the same band, it just proves that they're out of ideas musically...

And you'd be hard pressed to find many people that don't think all of nickelbacks songs to sound very similar

  • either way nickleback sucks ass!

  • ya that why there famous and your not

  • ya that's there rich and famous and is vary successful

  • @theMist09

    your english fails

  • is this green music?

  • This is recycled music. The differences are infinitesimal, and for anyone who knows anything about music can easily see Nickelback are no-talent hacks.

  • LOOOOOOOOL

Nickel Back always ruled, well not ;-)

  • at least all my songs are differne tchords and progressions and there mine not some dam producers idea

  • Who cares, both songs suck

  • @Shlumpledink f$#@ you

  • Nevermind if they're not the same length. It's the same chord progression, the same rhythm, the same melody...the SAME SONG. Adding an extra bar and slowing the tempo down a few notches does not make it a new song.

  • actually, the chord progression isn't the same, nor is the melody. They are harmonically similar giving the illusion of the same song... if u're gonna be a douche and throw musical terms, at least know what the fuck u're talking about.

  • @youreboringtoo Here's the thing; one of the songs (I believe mostly Someday) has been tweaked (Key change, tempo change) so both songs sound similar. This is just proof that Nickelback has their own sound.

  • i want my damn nickel back

  • lol at some points it sounds like 1 song. nickelback is the worst band of the last 20 years.

  • Dude you can play the two songs simultaneously and it doesn't just sound like crazy noise, these two songs are in the same key, at the same tempo, have virtually the same chord structure, exactly the same form, incredibly similar melodies, the same dynamic structure, EVERYTHING. These two are the same FUCKING SONG.

  • I think the pitch and tempo of one of the songs was probably modified for the purpose of the comparison, so the key and tempo might be different, but it doesn't really make a difference; the songs do sound extraordinarily and even embarrassingly similar.

  • yeah it's incredible. the fact that the tempo is exactly the same is unbelievable. It's not uncommon for bands to use the same key in many songs because it works for the singer's voice. but the dynamics, the song structure, hell even the part that get's quiet part way through...it's almost like they TRIED to do this. worst band ever.

  • they did try to do this, its called the formula for top 40 modern rock success

  • @idontlivetoday Because they were TWEAKED to sound alike!!! DUH!!!

  • They actually match up quite well.

    You have awful musical taste.

  • You have awful sarcasm detection

  • @customsongmaker

    they sound identical lol

  • @customsongmaker i dont get it, does he actually have good sarcasm detection and you were being sarcastic?

  • @PaszerXRatiug i dont like nickleback paszerxratiug but you're an asshole.

  • lol this fucking video

  • NICKELBACK IS TERRIBLE "HICK" MUSIC

  • Muwahahahahaha

I love hating this shit band.

  • You can argue that two piles of shit are in fact not the same pile of shit, but a LOT of people are missing the point that they're both steaming piles of shit.

  • one has corn in it , the other peanuts

  • Nickelback is just so good!...does anyone really enjoy this trash? im agreein with sean on this one. chad should stop playing music nd just go back to suckin dick at street corners. Rakeonus. u my friend are an idiot.

  • @skeetinskeels your a retard seriously you must've gone out of your way to bash on a great band and a great mix

  • Great band? This band sounds just like half of the other shit on the radio. Daughtry and all those fucking bands sound the fucking same, and its pitiful.

By the way this isn't fucking twitter, the @ doesn't mean you're replying to me fuck stick.

  • Honestly? Nickelback is garbage, anyone who likes this fucking 4/4 bullshit is retarded, how about you listen to music that actually sounds different from mainstream shit.

The fact that two of their songs laid over one another and line up perfectly is fucking hilarious.

  • If you want something other than 4/4, try Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band. It takes a while to grow on you, but the two guitars are separated between the left and right speakers so that helps to hear the individual parts if you're having trouble hearing how the music fits together.

  • If Zappa had a hand in it, it's kinda gotta be great :)

  • @customsongmaker hahaha "4/4 bullshit", yeah nickelback is bad because they use 4/4 time signatures. i'll bet the stupid prog bullshit you listen to is just as shitty and boring as this is. it's just "different" and shitty and boring.

  • youre a dumb fuck for even writing that description to the right... it matters not one fucking bit if the songs arent the same length or if the chorus's dont start at the same time....still the same song and chords DUMBASS

  • So...it's almost as if I said the exact opposite of the truth? I heard about people who do that on purpose and call it sarcasm.

  • well you did it too well then

  • i know. this is quite clearly sarcastic. people are idiots.

  • Totally agree. Nickelback kicks ass. Chad is a musical genius.

  • Does it matter if they match up perfectly or not? Nickelback is pretty awful either way. =3

  • if you like Nickelback you are an idiot. fact.
