hey man good try, but you shouldn't take off the white cap, it make the efeect of light and the red cap lookx like shadows, i´m not a cheff but i like sculpture, and i have done a lot of watermelons. sorry for the bad english :S
I commend you on your effort - its not that easy - i think u peeled off a little too much so next time leave more white so the pattern shows more. Well done :)
