i wasnt able to get my video goin on my ipod..I followed your direction of going into the initial menu and changing it to ipod mode but nothin..does this only apply to the cd-iu50 ipod  adapter and not your typical ipod cable?Or am I missing something else with the background settings? do they need to be off or set on av input?

Of course u can, anything can be done with the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD. It'll cost you though it's pretty pricey over $100 plus its a specific module slash adaptor for iphones ipods and im pretty sure they do it for USB too all you have to do is ask your local stereo store and they can help u out

Yes sir you going to need that cable (its a pioneer proprietary cable) for you able to play (Video) and control your Ipod (I'm talking all the Ipod products including the Iphone). question ... i just got the btb200 bluetooth. in the instal manual it says that this has to be installed as an external device. how exactly did you get it to work?

or did you just use your cell phone and then search for devices?

my phone does not allow me to call out or dial any numbers, it only gives me the function to accept calls thats all.

do you know if maybe its just the type of phone i have? (motoralla i9)

You need to buy a separate hardware for that. And you can buy over Amazon for almost 2 bill I believe. And you can pair the device as like a regular bluetooth headset.

Call Pioneer, you gotta have their cable and your Ipod has to be setup for it.

if you get the pioneer cd-iu50v usb cable you hook it up to your ipod and plug it in to your usb and video points it will play videos from your ipod.Cable will run you about $17 on ebay.

the cd-iu50v is the only cable that will work with it.I am still waiting to receive mine so will let you know if it works or not.Maybe you got a faulty cable,I know the usual usb ipod cable wont play video.Who did you buy from?

dude there is a setting you need to tweak at. The reason y only hearing is audio cause it was set to video and not the ipod. You need to press the demo then AV Menu, Press Initial and set the first AUX to IPod, the you should able to play. Believe me even those guy who install my shiet are having a hard time to play ipod video and I end up showing them how to do it lol. Lesson to be learn here is that sometimes is not bad to read the manual lol.

I set the first aux to ipod and still nothing I'm afraid I messed with the settings so much that now it's not gonna work. Should it say ipod or aux in order to see the video?

Ok here is the step by step procedure ok.

1. Press the Off on your touch screen (it should be on the lower right). This will go 2 demo.

2. Press AV Menu Twice.

3. Press The 1st selection (I believe is Initial) and set the 1st aux to Ipod, and turn off the aux2.

That's how I did mine. Hopefully it will work on yours. and if you need help just private message me here I will glad to help you out step by step on your system.

glad 2 help out mayne. By the time you reading this I'm probably done installing my dtv converter box and my magic mic (kareoke machine) lol. That unit we had have so much rca connection that I'm taking advantage off. Next time I'm going to install a PS2 or PS3. Enjoy your unit and happy new year.
