  • because of shit movies like "Twilight" and "Vampires Suck" great actor likes this will never be famous.

  • @kewlman139 Fame is just a big gimmick. It is never a real indication of talent.

  • Bingo, HOW FUNNNAARGHHH

  • Landa - I'm sure this mission of yours has a commanding officer. Aldo - A general. Landa - Looking for... OSS would be my guess. *LANDA SNIFFS* *CUE TIGER GROWL AND SHOWING OF THE TEETH AND NODDING HEAD LEFT TO RIGHT DURING SENTENCE* Landa - Oooooh! That's a bingoooooo! *LANDA SCOFFS* Landa - Is that the way you say it, that's a bingo? Aldo - You just said bango. *CUE TIGER GROWL AND SHOWING OF THE TEETH AND NODDING HEAD LEFT TO RIGHT DURING SENTENCE* BINGOOOOOO HOW FUN.
  • now i know why he'd scored an oscar that night.

  • haha, awww, he is too precious here! I love this part of the film.

  • hahaha! hes amazing <3

  • @KyleGibbons91 i agree.

I think it was a chinese or japanesse actor, (some dude who does marcial arts or something like that) who won the best villian award, i have no idea who he is.

  • Does anyone else find Mr Chistoph Waltz fit? cause i do, hes an amazing actor, i dont understand how he didnt win the award for Best villain, anyways and Mtv award is not a big deal.

  • @TheAliceGreene He's unbearably handsome. <3

  • He was so great in this movie. From the trailers I thought it was brad pitt who was going to be the highlight of the film. Brad did good like always but waltz stole the show. A well deserved nomination and win for christoph waltz.

  • Truly a great character and a great actor.

  • Truly a great character and a great actor.

  • hilarious!

  • Ahaaaaahah ! Trop fort Landa ! BRavo.

  • Scary, Funny, Crazy, Happy, Nuts, Psycho...

    German, English, French, Italian...

Is there anything he can't do??

  • this guy is from austria... like arnold schwarzenegger!!!!!!!!! AUSTRIAAA ... a wonderful land!! =D

  • Im so glad he got that Oscar :D

  • When I Watched This Movie Waltz Instantly Became One Of My Favourite Actor, He's The Most Credible In This Movie

  • Thats a bingo!

  • pure evil shame separates man from beast thats why we dont feel sorry for killers who are executed they are beasts no shame here badass villain

  • He did a great job in the movie.

I really love his expressions, they really did do the thing

  • How fun!

  • lol christoph waltz did a superb job

  • But i digress

  • Great scene. then of course, every scene he was in was great...

  • this Hans Landa is such a pleasure to watch, just the way his expression changes...

  • Great actor

  • I'm in love with that guy.

  • haha yea me too ;D

  • He should have get best actor award.

  • @padrefaria Perhaps, but he did win best supporting actor, and he wasn't the lead so how could he?

  • he was the backbone of this movie. every scene had its own leading character but landa was the thing that tied it all together.

  • @padrefaria Good point. I guess the important thing is that a relatively unkonwn actor from Austria got recognised at an American awards ceremony. Thumbs up to that man.

  • @padrefaria He was not up for Best Actor.

  • @padrefaria He kinnda did...

  • @padrefaria

He couldnt have... he didnt have a leading role.

  • @chocolatito5000 I beg to differ. as being part of both sections of the story in inglorious basterds he was the main character even if it looks not to have been. however he should have one.

  • such a maniacal villain in a greatly done movie

  • Sorry, best supporting actor*

  • He wont best actor award 2010

  • he got it

  • He did the best acting job of 2009.

  • That deserved that supporting actor award.

  • that dude was funny..throughout the movie

  • Oh, Hans, you embarrass me.

  • HE IS SO CUTE :33

  • If he doesn't win an oscar . . . God help the Academy

  • So true. This also applies to Mo'nique.

  • @S13AR10AFan I didn't see the movie, but I heard she did a amazingly fantastic job, plus we have the same name :)

  • He will...he's a lock.

  • @dancagurli he did ^^so great job. but i dont understand why is isnt chosen for best actor and for side actor?

  • @doenerman05 Idk, but when penelope cruz (sp) announced his name, I've never been so happy in my life. I hope he gets alot more roles in the future.

  • Christoph Waltz was brilliant in this film.

  • You're a fucking idiot. It's just a movie. People forget the whole point movies are made...its for entertainment...........Nazis can be fun too.......

  • HOW FUN!

  • These are the kind of characters a man with an iq of 160 comes up with. BRILLIANT.

  • Theres no way Waltz will walk out without an Oscar. The guy was brilliant.

  • just watched this film, glad to know people feel the same way about landa in this film as i do! he's definitely one of the most brilliant characters ive ever had the pleasure of watching.

  • Christoph Waltz, needs an Oscar for this.

Hans Landa is one of the most clever, yet evil villains ever on screen.

  • if it wasn't for hans landa's character i'm pretty sure i wouldn't love this film as much as a i do!

  • Hans Landa is the best actor ever

  • @old4x Hans Landa isn't an actor. Three cheers for being pedantic. On a more serious note -- Christoph is an amazing actor, yes.

  • @ joshlespaul1952: But in a way, Hans Landa IS an actor, the way he uses his charm and facility with languages with manipulate situations to his advantage.

  • @metafact Touché. If that is the context in which old4x posted his/her comment, my apologies; that makes perfect sense. I merely interpreted it as someone referring to the actor by the character's name, as is so often done on YouTube. Kudos.

  • very quite, even with my volume all the way up i can barely hear it

  • What really messes with you is watching Das Boot and hoping the people in the submarine live and then realizing they're germans and realize you're cheering for the wrong team! XD

  • He's actually not a Nazi - he explains that in this conversation (but not on this video)

  • I admit, it's difficult to properly judge an actor's capabilities when the character they are playing is evil. Christopher Waltz, to my mind, was astonishing in this role and deserves the Oscar - even though the character he played was despicable (oh, and Waltz did more in this role than just "being funny")

  • I agree i think he's character is great but he is a nazi which makes it difficult to me to admire him like others are doing

  • @gb19 Geez it's a MOVIE. Get over it.

  • lol it's funny how everybody get so defensive and tell me it's just a movie.. i know it's just a movie and it doesent bother me if people like him or not i'm just stating an interesting point... sheesh people come on dont take it so personally

  • imo, he was never a real nazi from the beginning. He works for them but didn't seem to care a bit about Nazi ideology. He works for his own interest and also knew at that time the german will lose... hence why he switched side.

In this scene, he just not funny to be funny. He is just enjoying the moment. For example, if I was a terrorist and this would be my moment of glory, I would laugh in happiness too. In this contest, I see Landa the same way. He is enjoying the opportunity to switch side

  • Gb19: Acting skills is what's on show. Not ideology. Acting, acting, acting. When you go into the shower, practice "That's a bingo!", until the wifey comes in and hits you over the head with a broom.

  • Hmm all of u people just seem to miss the point... well whatever let it be that's the greatness of this movie anyway.. that's why i liked it so much

oh and @carlosgodoy1 thx for teaching me about acting man!! i never knew it was just pretending and saying stuff u dont beleive in!! u r so clever! (see i'm also practicing acting as u suggested)

  • The point of the movie is: You can drop all the most brutal nonsensical violence and cruelty upon a NAZI and it will be tolerated, even praised. I loved this movie cause it just shows how dumb is the "enemy" mentality some people have towards something they don't even know.

  • LOL!!!

  • I love Col. Landa. I love opportunism! It's a virtue!

  • i love his Naiveness and stupidity too

  • Naivety and stupidity are characteristics which are not found in Landa.

He plays the role to get his adversaries off guard. He is extremely cleaver and manipulative. He knows the human psyche very well.

  • What about that whole " surrender and handing over the guns to the basterds (who, he knew very well, were Nazi killers)??? Wasnt that stupid?

The most stupid thing i ever saw a person do in a movie! But i guess that was the joke: he was so intelligent reading and analizing other people and in the end he underestimated the supposed "deal" that he made to the Basterds!

So Yes, he was very stupid in trusting the Basterds (i was surprised they didnt kill him - the hell with the deal he made!)

  • Landa is an German (well Austrian actually), he follows orders and he must have assumed that Americans too must follow orders from their superiors. Of course the Basterds, being one of the most unprofessional forces I have seen on film in the longest time, if I were Landa I would have shot them.

Oh well, Landa gets away with it in the end anyway. Landa is great!

  • That was exactly what i was talking about!!!!

The Basters are Nazi killers - he knew that. He knew VERY WELL that they didnt follow orders like normal allie soldiers! The didnt assume nothing like what you said!!!!

So why would he trust them so much as to surreder himself to them!

    He was STUPID and NAIVE!

(By the way, it doesnt matter if they were unprofessional, bla, bla bla... That is how they were in the first place ant thats what make the movie great! )

  • Landa is neither naive nor stupid... read a dictionary..

  • Waltz already has won the Golden Globe and SAG for best supporting actor, Oscars, here we come!

  • Comment removed

  • Christoph Waltz performance was perfect. The way he juxaposes his almost childlike glee with a dark and ruthless methodology is chilling. He'd prob make a good interogator. Knows just how to put you on edge.

  • He is such a good actor! I loved this scene, it was so funny!

  • Why the hell did Landa offer those two wine, If they can't drink it? What a sick fucker!

  • fucken should of had his own story not those other fucks with brad pitt they were not fun to watch

  • lmao, one of the best scenes. love this guy

  • more volume please

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOH THATS A BINGO.. is that the way you say it, thats a bingo? you just say bingo... BINGOOOO HOW FUN!

  • Wow. Funny yet creepy!

  • This will always be great!!
