  • are AC6000's physically bigger than AC4400's, or is just the engine size bigger

  • @MrZkr123: They are physically bigger, although not by much, but the rear radiators on AC6000's do stand out much more than the AC4400's.

  • thank you so much for explaining the spotting features! I've been trying to learn how to identify locomotives and such. Do you have any helpful resources to learn about this stuff?

  • im not into my trains but that is impressive

  • I don't understand why there are 2 different company locos on the same train...how does it work??? I mean...CSX and BNSF split the train profits??? (sorry if my English is not good, but I'm not English)

  • @jossdeiboss: They don't split the profits. BNSF may borrow a locomotive from CSX (due to shortages) then BNSF owes CSX horsepower-hours. BNSF can pay back that horsepower-hours by letting CSX borrow their locomotive when appropriate.

  • Very good video. I enjoyed it alot.

  • The GE AC6000 is my favorite highhp unit! Glad to see that some of those powerful beasts are still out there earning a living! Great Post & 5/5!

  • Great video like always!! 5/5*'s automatically for catching those monsters in action!

I also see you are in the bay area you should stop by our club and pay us a visit we're right next to the C&H Sugar Factory which the tracks are basically located right across the street from us!!

  • Thanks for letting me know where your club is. I'll try to visit when I'm in the area.

  • nice shot of the CSX units shoving the military loads, I see trains like that alot, coming out of Fort Riley. I like those AC 6000's, I see quite a few on coal trains out my way, some have been renumbered into the 6900 series

    5 stars!!

  • Most of the ones that have been renumbered into the 6900 series are the converted C6044AC's.

  • Thanks for the info :)

  • Wow nice AC6000 5*

  • Nice find! Both of the AC6000's and the three axle DODX flats.

  • I was questioned by a quick-responding UP police protecting the military load, but after checking my ID, and my explaining why I was there, he allowed me to take photos and shoot videos.

  • Looks like we shot the same unit train on November 13!

  • We did! I was going to head to Millbrae, but a few clueless people who didn't know how to get out of the parking lot blocked me and ruined any chances of catching it there. So I'm glad you were there to get a great video instead!

  • Nice one, i have been seeing alot of them lately on stack trains through Manteca Ca.

  • Those UP Locos are the same that came to SSF about 3 weeks ago

    Awesome.
