  • I can hear the more mischievous parts 0:13-1:22 and 4:49- 5:09 being the theme to the Ministry of Magic from Harry Potter.

  • A bit like Elgar, a bit like Smetna, a bit like Prokofiev.... What's not to like?

  • we get to play this in our fieldshow this year; it's in the "games" movement of the show. Our show is Cartoons, Games and Lullaby. though we don't have a name yet

  • 5:41 to 6:31 is divine.

  • The word "song" has been widened out of all recognition in American parlance. To my surprise I've even heard classical singers use the term this loosely. I suppose I'm getting old, since I still am tempted to say things like, "I shall," and use LOTS more punctuation than is typical now.

  • @waustad I'm only 18 and I still use the word piece! It just feels wrong to use the word "song" to me. I had a composition teacher once who emphasized the difference to the point that it's now ingrained in my subconscience haha.

  • Everything there is to know about life is in this song. It evokes in me things that cannot be explained.

  • Love this piece and my friend, Patrick McFarland is playin English horn, love it, thanks so much!
