oh no Marinadoesn'theartme! The point is that you can use 2 dollars of material to do pretty cookies--$45 dollars of Wilton supplies are not necessary for the 8 year old who wants to try something fancy but is dependent on a budget consisting of quarters and a supplies limited to whatever is at the supermarket while they're there with mom.
DID YOU KNOW there are correlations between social class and writing skills? If you take the time to make your put downs clearer by following the conventions of written English you will ~appear~ to be of better socio-economic class, and thusly, you will appear to be more ~classy.~
why are you when ure talking about the brown dyes talking to us like babies? I mean we all have common sense and know what brown looks like, we're not spanners you know!
You would be surprised. Last week I had to explain my 22-year-old sister how to make brown color (she was making a gift for her boyfriend using temperas)
But I have to admitt that the "cookie's voice" at the end was really disturbing.
We could get an edible ink kit and modify an inkjet printer and then just print on our cookies! I've seen the printing kits for printing think shortbread cookies, I think they're totally cool.
Hm, two ways to interpret your question! I will answer both!
1. Give the cookies a few hours or overnight (depending on your humidity) sothat the frosting dries to hard sugar surface and you can bag, mail, and shake the cookies without the frosting falling apart, which is what happens when you pipe frosting onto a cookie.
2. You want to follow a different recipe for a more suitable frosting if you intend to bag and pipe frosting. This stuff will just spread.
And some folks fail Color Theory 215 as their required art class in college! As much as it is basic, subtractive color mixing is an important foundation for the understanding of other color work: additive color mixing (when you mix light, works very differently,) pigment creation, or simply recognizing that the colors you've got in your paint set aren't actually the primaries and secondaries ("Hey! That's thalo green! It won't behave like normal green!")
the frosting looks gross

Because roughly 30 percent of my viewership is non-English speaking so basic concepts have to be clearly established.

is the icing firm enough to be bagged? If i were making cookies this way for favors would the icing decoration fall apart in a clear bag?

butter icing is fab for bagging and prettifiying cookies ^_^ it's essentially the same as the video but with butter instead of water :)
