  • @1:36 - 1:42 that was just amazing to watch.

  • 1. Asian (Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Hong Kong) 2. French 3. Italian 4. Mediterranean (fish, mussels) 5. Japanese / Korean 6. Mexican 7. American Fast food (hot dogs, hamburgers) 8. Lebanese / Arabic 9. American / Argentine Steaks 10. Balkan (chevapi, pleskavica, Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian) I am Italian and this is my list of favorite cuisine. I love it all, but if I have to choose, Asian is #1. Ciao!
  • @49fiori Thank God we live in America where you can get the best of the entire world without leaving your country. I think I will try your top ten picks starting from 10 to finally number 1. Thanks!

  • hello apology wanted to know how that thing is called a yellow dish where you put on to boil food as if you gave a steam bath please

  • what kind of flower are they using?

    rice flower?

  • my god. food and art. They know how to make their food tasty AND beautiiful wish i knew how -_-

  • Chinese makes this world soooooo much better. the real way of cooking dim sum is steaming! good job guys. ill go there one day

  • Chinese makes this world soooooo much better

  • Woo! Dim sum ftw <3 cantonese

  • Cooking is an art..we love to cook, its chinese life and compassion.

  • Haha! At 1:36 I thought he sliced that dough off the folded yellowish thing... But then at 2:44 you see him grabbing dough with his other hand and that yellow thing is just a wet towel used to flatten the dough without having it stick.

  • the label says how to make dim sum...but i havent learned any :p

  • man i wish i know where this place is

  • @arpukar I think it's Here In San Francisco Cali (:

  • @tearoftwi Dude, I googled it and got Washington DC? I never ate at a Ping Pong in SF, but there are so many places in Chinatown, it could be there too, you know? We have the best Dim Sum on the West coast, but i don't want to miss something special ether.

  • @kern0099 Damn yeah. lolz. :)

  • Daamn... slicing thin right off that dough ball!

  • I love Dimsum...Here in SF we are not slacking on the Dimsum restaurants either, luckily. Peace!

  • @kern0099 Hellz yeah. lol. Wait this is in China Town/?

  • Can someone tells me where pin pong dim sum is located ? Thanks!

  • First thing I noticed is that in this dim sum kitchen you see exactly one type of knife. A chinese cleaver, then they use it to do EVERYTHING. In American kitchens you have like 20 different knives. I love Asian cleavers, you can pretty much do anything with it.

  • thnx for the video .

    those chinese are great cooks

  • ummm...i need to visit there one day

  • Now, that's what I call a Wok!

  • mr. vong is the head chef of ping pong

  • lo mein noodles are my favorite. hmmmm.

  • where abouts is this resto?

  • 1:37 H-how..?

  • @blissfullness93

    Shut up! White boy

  • lol at this faggot preaching about his fucking terrible fake chinese food served to white people and made by spics.

  • i've tasted really nice har gau and some a mediocre taste that makes me wary about ordering them in chinese restaurants

  • i'm from the phil. but i've been here in italy for 24 yrs. now.. cooking has been my passion and i guess it runs to our family since i've got relatives and great grand mas who has been a cook... and i grew up that my mother works is cooking too. i'm now trying to surf always on how to do this kind of stuff but i need to know how to make the dough... could u help me... ??? thank you

  • some one teach me how to make dim sum plzzzzzz - some one!!!!

  • See the pros do their stuff!!

  • Chinese Restaurants/Fast Food would have semi greasy food (depends where) but normally chinese food isnt greasty

  • i love chienese food-(it rocks!!!)

  • yea...definitly hand made the best...YUM YUM, now I really want some DIM SUM!!!!

  • wow it seems so amazing by the way the last name vong is that thai or laos

  • This is a very professional kitchen, from the looks of it, there's teamwork and cohesion. Americans work the front, Asians work the kitchen, mix/match, I have seen many successful Sushi Bars apply same set up, very American. Good Job, we need more Asian restaurants like this.

  • i agree with you. by the looks of this kitchen and the length of training for one single type of dim sum should make the perfect tasting dumpling!

  • @KatiushaVN4The chinese food you get is probably from takeaways right, dont judge.

  • @Mafiadaughter:

Sorry, I don't like Chinese foods...

  • Thats okay, u dont have to like chinese food, but u cant make generalisations on something when you havent tried the real thing, thats how false stereotypes come around.

  • Steamed food is the least greasy food you can get, what have you been eating?

  • @nofreedomofspeech

Stop making excuse! Everyone admits Chinese food is greasy

  • lol what excuse, it's a fact, and where is "everybody" who think so?

  • @nofreedomofspeech

LOL A Swedish arguing about Chinese foods. You'd better stick to your fork...heheh

  • And a vietnamese guy like you should know better...

  • @nofreedomofspeech

    Of course...much better than you

  • @nofreedomofspeech

    And BTW, I'm no guy

  • @KatiushaVN4 wrong. chinese takeaway is greasy since the menu is made to fit for western tastes with msg, colorings and preservatives. Chinese food through steaming has no grease whatsoever. Same if u refer Mcdonaolds as western food. It is not the same.

  • @KILLERZ0000

Probably you haven't yet had Chinese fried and roasted dishes..LOL Good source of oil. Chinese eat lots of oil, so their teeth colour turns yellowish

  • @KatiushaVN4 well everything u fry contains oil. The chinese consumption of oil is in fact far less of that of American and British which their diet is filled with fried/roast chicken/steak and chips let alone they also binge on cheap takeaways. An average chinese dude would eat healthy thats why they have better skin and don't suffer obesity as much.

  • Chinese food rocks

Number 1 in the world, I LOVE chow mein especially hakka style

  • i want to learn to create your dimsum. if possible can i work in you like for a week just teach me how...

  • holy shit.. they are SKILLED! im hungry now...

  • Amazinggg @_@!! :)

  • is the counter wet when the dough for the har gow is being flattened

  • food makes everyone happy

  • Can you put the dim sum directly on the bamboo steamer (here they use some paper)?

  • Usually it is on top of lettuce or cabbage.

  • So you can just cover the steamer with Chinese cabbage?

  • Yeah.

Line the interior of the bamboo steamer with cabbage or lettuce leaves so the dim sum won't stick to the bamboo.

If you want more info just go to Google and type in "How to make dim sum in bamboo steamer"

  • Got it, thanks.

  • @BustyGretchen don't know if you're still trying to find out about this. if you put it directly on the steamer, the skin of the dim sum (thick skinned dumplings, shrimp dumplings or har gow) will more likely rip when you try to pick it up. if the filling is fresh, then the dim sum won't taste as juicy if you rip the skin. if you don't have the film/paper, you can substitute with thin layers of carrots instead.

    hope this helps!

  • im from china, and this just shows you how hard we work to pay the bills and care for our families :D

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, you and the rest of the people who have families.

  • these guys are dimsum masters man !

  • Wow! I didn't realise you're from the UK. When you first spoke, your English sounded "unaccented" but then later in the video as you spoke at length I noticed the accent and decided to look at your profile. You're in the UK! Wow! :) Where in the UK are you?

  • Wow! Looks really good :) Dim Sum chefs are a class of their own!

  • i love making dimsum! Good to see how clean and organized the processing...

Is it really necessary that the flour you use comes from China.

    Any difference?

  • it probably makes it more authentic. and the flour they use is proccessed slightly different then ours in canada and US

  • There are more Ping Pongs opening all the time around London. Definitely try the Honey Glazed Ribs!

  • YUMMM!!!!

  • -drools-

  • Amazing at 1:36 and 2:48 how the chef made the dumpling skin. Great stuff, thank you Khin Vong for making this post. Very detailed work.

  • ur ignorant lol

  • who you ? if your a better CHEF then you do it pal

  • wish that my boyfriend could cook like that.... :( yum yum....

  • can i be your youtube boyfriend i can make it? HAHA

  • Dim Sum cooking is totally in a class of their own which even regular chefs typically can't make. Okay, the simple ones like wonton, gai lan (vegetable dish), etc. are easy enough for anyone but most dim sum are very difficult to do like the har-gao (shrimp dumpling). Those take a different kind of skill set.

  • Great video, thanks for sharing. Where is your restaurant, I would like to visit.

  • IT looks like the PingPong in Londond Southbank

  • Thanks!

  • thanks..

  • Yummy!
