That's one of the most technical questions I have met although not really technical on a recording forum:). I wish I could shred (that's so cool) but definitely could not and don't wanna dedicated limited time to be just a shredder.

In this video, I was using Roland Cube with EH deluxe memory delay and an old edition of Dime distortion.

Now I live in an apartment and it's inconvenient to use amp,I'm learning how to use Tracktion 2 with recording interface Echo audiofire 8 now. Since I don't have preamp yet,I can't use all my pedals.I have tried OD-3 with battery(because all my pedals are with 220V adapters I can't use them here,so I didn't bring those adapters) with Echo audiofire in an I/O with preamp function, the sound was horrible,

and I only for once forgot to disconnect the OD-3 with the guitar, the battery died. So for now, I'm heavily relying on a soundcard, moniter headphone,moniter amp and software effects to do the job. But a tube amp and rack preamp is always my dream that I will never give up,blah,blah........I talk too much

howeveri think you arent showing enough aggression in your picking to really get the feel of the song. and why do you have a pedal on it that makes it sound like a violin? it needs to be mor grunty to sounds the same. apart from that you played amazingly.

I must admit I'm not good at adjusting those effects....some people suggest I shouldn't use so much delay(I like using my delay a lot), I think that's where the violin sound comes from. You are right, there is no aggressive attack in my playing.

My solo part isn't the same as original either,many differences actually.Tremolo was used in the original version. I don't think I have seen any version that's nearly the same as original,it's difficult to figure out all the details in this song. As for myself, my first try of this one dates back in 2004,unfinished of course,so that's quite long,hehe.

These people all share the same quality: usually playing more than 4 hour per day and having the settled target,say,what speed they want to get and what specific techniques to master. I don't like the sound either. My Boss GE-7 is out of battery,I think no equilizer is the main reason of the poor quality of the sound. Although the practise amp is also a cause.
