On the whole scheme of things it's amazing that people from anywhere can raise comments and bring back memories for THE PEOPLE who WERE involved. You certainly shaped my way of thinking from the age of 12!!!! THANKYOU!
Yeah-I was Snakefinger's neighbor and good pal and remember the day they shot that video which incidently was the second video ever played on MTV the day it launched! Hard to believe he's been dead almost 20 years now-ouch! The band was a lot of fun and Richard Marriott and I still work together and Beth Custer is still quite active as well.
I saw snakefinger at a chicago, IL show that was recorded and released as a live record, around 1985-86. There weren't 12 of us in the whole place. I can still hear myself clapping and hooting on the cassette. Great Great show. Sorely missed.
I have a cassette of that recording and can remember helping Phil (Sfinger) learn the song Climbing the Ladder by the Isley Brothers. Indeed sorely missed and bless you for the great memories.
Jeez - lots of memories from this one. Has it been 20 years!? Phil and I hung out together for a few months -- we had so much fun hanging out in his place in the Mission, buying obscure old records, and I recall playing tennis with him once at Mission HS -- he wore black high tops, boxer shorts, and a trench coat which he kept on the entire time -- he looked like a flasher! Fun, smart guy and sadly missed. Thanks for the anecdotes.
We just watched a really trippy felix the cat cartoon ( new ) with music by these guy's...any input?
