  • Part II

    NANAK, DUKHIYA, SAB SANSAAR

    SO SUKHIYA, SO, NAAM ADHAAR

    (Guru Nanak Sahib)

    Translation:

"Nanak, every one in this world is in a state of suffering (dukhi).

Only he is "happy" (sukhi or emancipated) who recites the THE HOLY NAME OF THE LORD !!!!!!!

    So Dear Friends,

So Sukhiya So, Naam Adhaar !

    Thank you.

  • Dear ktpunjab Sahib,

Thank you for your kind message. It gives rise to alot of additional comments. But, we can wait.

I find it striking the way Sikhs are preserving Punjabi Wirsa. I do think in Pakistani Punjab, people, through music and songs, and tv and radio etc. do show great attachment to Punjabi poetry. But, their approach is some what limited and partisan.

When you meet the old Sardar Ji, please recite the following verse to him :

    Cont.

Being a Muslim from Lahore,I am deeply impressed by the great spiritual personalities like Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib.I have met very few Muslims who know about this historical fact. But, I saw that each time a Sikh came to Lahore, after visiting "His Holiy Sites", and, perhaps before going to "Anarkali Bazar", he went to the tomb of Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib.I am no emperor. When the last time I was in Lahore I wished to go there, but could not. I do wish to go their alive !

    Thank you.

  • it was nice reading all your very informative messages here. I think sikhs have been close to muslims historically and spiritually. One good thing about sikhs is that they value our punjabi virsa, that we , muslim punjabis from pakistan, are forgetting rapidly. Sikhs deserve respect for being closer to thier roots and not forgetting what they really are.

  • Cont.

Therefore, he wanted to see him and remind him of the good path, the path of repentence and good behaviour.

So, it was the same Hazarat Mian Mir Sahib, who, at the request of the Sikhs' Guru of that time laid the foundation stone of a religious building in Amritsar. It was the FOUNDATION STONE OF THE GOLDEN TEMPLE !!!!!. Both, the Sikhs' Guru and Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib, believed in Tauheed, one God, wihtout "Shirk" i.e. sharing of His Existence or Qualities.

    Cont.

  • contd from my last msg: I live in a small town of canada and often see a very old sikh man who lived his whole life here and he likes to talk to me and spend time chatting with me because I am from lahore where he lived before partition, sometimes, I wonder how these people have not forgotten their roots living far away from their origins, still they speak punjabi very proudly and his grandson, who was born here also speaks punjabi.

  • "Now, it is not you, your dead body will come". Emperor Jehangir fell ill in Kashmir and died. His body was brought to Lahore where he is buried. His mausoleum is one of the most important historical sites that decorate the city of Lahore.

I do not think that he died because he did not accept the kind invitation of Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib. I have heard some people say that Hazrat Sahib, being a Frienf of God, was aware of what was going to happen.

    Cont.

  • Before moving further,I wish to state what I forgot earlier:As the story goes,Mughal emperor,Jahangir, was an admirer of Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib and he frequently sought spiritual guidance from him. As per the same story, once Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib sent a message to emperor Jehangir to come and see him. The emperor replied that he was then going to Kashmir and could not come. But, he will certainly come at a future date. When Hazrat Mian Mir heard this, he had a sigh of regret and said :

    cont

  • Dear Friends,

I have given five stars to this video.

I was born in Lahore and went to school there. Close to the canal and the Lahore Cantt Railway Bridge, is situated the mausoleum (Mazar) of Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib who, in the books of history, is mentioned one of the greatest sufi saints of Lahore and Punjab.

He was a very close friend of the Sikh Guru of that time. At his request, Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib accepted to lay the foundation stone of a religious building.

    Continued.

  • "msrpk" Its sad that you Praise the Man for speaking perfect Urdu,(Apparently it seems like you do know enough Urdu to issue someone a Certificate), but the Funny Thing is You really don't Get it what the Man is Trying to say!

Mhez LaFez SuNtay Ho, Srif Harf ChuNtay Ho, Enkay Drmian Kiya Hai TuM Samaj Na PahO Gay !

Keep On HATING my Lil Friend

  • ignore haters my friend, sardar ji was a believer of sufism i think as me, we can't be together by physical boundaries but emotionally we can be together and this is what the actual faith the ISLAM, PEACE

  • Brother the Sardar Ji is not a beliver in Sufism but he respects in their belifs. Respect is what Sikhi is about and this is deisplayed by this Singh. The whole world should follow this great mans wisdom of showing respect. The world has the truth form God in the Guru Grant Sahib, so mankind cannot calim they were not guided.

  • he is a believer in sufism, sufism is not a organised or it is not occupied by any particular group any body can be a sufi.

this is what he mentions in his poetry by saying chishti waha nanak yahan, then he explains universal brotherhood, and this is the message of islam and sikhsm aswell.

    regards

  • Sufism is mostly regarded as a muslim form of poetic worship, but sufism is not entirley a muslim caste, as some sufis reject being called muslims & followers of Islam. But in the general sense the Sardar Ji isnt a follower & has respect of Sufism. That is what i was trying to say brother.

  • the sufism actually came from muslims as it was a kind of cloth sufies used to wear which was called (sof) anyway you are right he respect sufism, but i would still say he follows aswell because any body can follow sufi thoughts coz it's an ideology.

    regards

  • sufis are considered KAFIRS by muslims. maybe you dunno that muslims didn't allow to burry Bulle Shah in the muslim graveyard. They called him Kafir. and other sufis too.

  • Dude Shut the fuck up if u have an ignorant empty pot for a brain.... Sufis are sunnis and part of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah.. Who considers sufis kafir, except a handful of wahabis, nobody does.. The majority of the muslim population do not object to sufism, infact great scholars of Islam were sufis themselves. Do some more research before u typr next time.

  • you peice of shit.. do u know muslims didn't allow Bulle Shah to burry in the muslim grave yard. they called hom Kafir. bulle shah has also written about it .. tu ashik hoyeo rabb da teinu hoi malamat lakh.. teinu kafir kafir akhde tu aho aho akh..

  • Sufis didn't accept Islam.. go and do some research. Muslims and sufis always had conflicts due to this.many Sufiswere also killed because they were playing music and all other things. Bule Shah's Master Shah Inayeat was also killed. maybe you dunno this.

So BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT !

  • first of all very nice poetry by Mr Bedi.

brothers what are you fighting at.. with due respect, all the sufis were muslims like Bulleh Shah, Rahman Baba.. infact they had difference of perspective with our religious scholars. They had very open minds and hearts. They emphasised on love with Allah within yourself and most of the times the religious scholars didnt understand their way of thinking and love with God..

    peace 2 all

  • g sahi baat kahi hai aapne bhai jaan !!!!

    allah haafiz !!!

  • @syedyasinshah Shah jee, Paak Nabi (SAW) be hindustan ki taraf ishara ker k fermatey k mujhey waha sey thandi hawa aati hai, jo k shair e mashriq hazrat Allama iqbal ney apney shaeron mein be likha hai,

sorry to say but wahabies dont beleive in even muslim sufis, woh kehtey hain sufi ko manena shirk hai or yeh hindu or shikho ka tareeka hai,

  • With all due respect,If you were born in Islam,Cristian or Hindu faith instead of Sikhism ? Would "Guru Grant" be still "Guiding" the MANKIND ! or it would been "Koran", "Bible" or "Gita"in that case? If it'll still be, Than how would you know?

Is "Guru Grant" is indeed a guide to MANKIND instead of "Koran", "Bible" or "Gita" ? Or it has to be, because YOU believe in it !

  • With all due respect, i have no idea what you are on about, your sentence makes no sense to me. I would like to answer your question, i think wot ur sayin can be breifly dismissed as i can say would the koran be guiding mankind if u wasnt born a muslim because remember Hinduism, christianity and jewdasium has come b4 Islam. Your point doesnt stand up kid.

  • With all respect your more confusing then the Philospher..why can't you noth just apprieciate the Urdu Shairee without bringing all the crap into it..grow up and lets move on from stating thi sor that fiath is better then the other...believe what you believe and leave the rest to Allah or Guru in trhe case of SikhLions.

  • I 100% agree with 786. Everyone love thier faith. and we all respect eachothers relgious feelings. EVERYONE IS SAME TO THE GOD. EVEN THE GURBANI SAYS" AWAL ALLAH NOOR UPPAYEA, KUDRAT KE SAB BANDE... EK NUR TE SAB JAG UPJEYA KON BHALE KON MANDE." Aall humans are same. God is one our paths are different.. lekin manzil (god) is same.

  • Thank you dost

  • you are wellcome bro.. Peace !

  • Yes the Guru Granth Sahib would still be guiding those who do not follow Sikhi.

The Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Sikhs guidance to god as the bible is to the Christians. Hope that answers your question.

  • The answer to this is in Holy Quran. Which says "Come to common terms between us and you., that we worship none but Allah", This was said to muslims to tell the christians and jews, that first of all lets agree upon the common terms between us, that is we will worship none but Allah(One God)

So I think this is something that most of the religious scriptures say, be it Bible, Quran, Grant and even Vedas.

  • Brother the Sardar Ji is not a beliver in Sufism but he respects in their belifs. Respect is what Sikhi is about and this is deisplayed by this Singh.
