@fightingforlacy Both totally diff. price point man...hughes and kettners are above the 2g mark and a dual rec is like 1700 or less. Both are good and mad versatile though. I'd take the H&K first though

What did I just see? Fantastic playing, I totally forgot about the original reason I played this video, wanting to know more about the amp, and was mesmerized by the fluid, stylish technique. That's the type of performance that inspires guitarist to put down the computer and practice. Amazing!

Yeah, the tones are great, but the playing is so good it becomes a showcase of some serious talent! In the words of a guitar great "it's not the gear"! This guy would sound amazing on anything! I'm blown away!! Great chops ...... I bow to your riffage!

hughes and kettner not only sound freaking amazing...but they look super sweet and are extremely innovative. I mean whats not to like about that sweet blue backlit glass? the only problem with hughes and kettner is their price....=/

mesa boogie cabs have the same speakers as the Hughes and kettner cabs. In fact I think Mesa had it first. the speakers are Celestions Vintage 30's. you can buy a mesa cab for about half the price of a kettner cab.

I found it too much so I bought a brunetti r evo xl 60 for 700 dollars, with a 2x12 brunetti cab. I like it better than the triamp.

The price new isnt the problem, the second hand price is just so low, so you loose a lot when buying it new. 2nd hand hughes and kettner is cheap, I dont get this, these things are awesome.

Define cheap, lol. The guitar you have is very expensive and if the guitar reflects anything on the amp then I don't know whether your advice is valid =p, what I mean is at your level obviously you're prepared to spend quite an amount on equipment because you have a high level of skill which makes sense. =]

I mean 800 euro's. There was one for weeks on a dutch market site for 800 dollar. How you know which guitar I have got? You dont have to be highly skilled to get good gear.
