  • I so wanna sing this! Then once I master it I will go on americas got talent or something haha!

  • I love the end.

  • I've seen this movie only once when i was very young... Can anybody tell me what this movie is about? it looks very interesting.

  • I love this song, but does anyone else keep reading Frollo as Frodo?

  • I don't know if songs about murdered gypsy mothers are too approriate for sing a longs...

  • I could sing along until 5:35 came around. >_<

  • Awesome video by the way!!

  • Can you make a video like this for the song called Sanctuary from the Hunchback of Notre Dame? If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I mean? Please and thanks anyway if you don't care to.

  • Brilliant beginning to this, darkest of all Disney films!

  • "Who is the monster and who is the man?" One of the greatest disney lines ever. Frollo made Quasimodo believe that he was some sort of monster yet Frollo's actions throughout the movie showed that HE was truly the monster and Quasimodo was the man.

  • i love 5:24 to the end

    its so beautiful TT-TT

  • The note at the end I can hit it

  • grandissimo, e quel re diesis 5 andava bene!

  • "Who is the monster, and who is the man?"

    GOD. So amazing.

  • 2 people will burn in hell for not likeing this !!!DX<

  • This song is very inspiring

    great job whoever wrote it

  • Oh geez... I have shivers. Like, wtf?! Haha...

  • Does anyone notice the similarities between this story and phantom of the opera? The main difference being Quasimodo is good and lives, and in most versions, the phantom dies.

  • @PrincessNinja007 ??

Qyasumodo does die, they justn' couldn't show his death bc of Disney.

  • @slashofdeath ... I feel stupid now. Should have read the book.

  • @PrincessNinja007 Oops.. my bad.. >.<

  • Two people see corruption everywhere except within

  • From 5:37 on I get chills!

  • happy 15th to me on that day...i do apologize

  • I love the dialogue between Frollo and the the archdeacon. It's my favorite part of the song. =)

  • @mytoontownfreak well in my opinion Wall-E was a fantastic movie, but I see your point.

  • can someone tell me why is the NOTRA DAME so important to the people of Paris??????????

  • @vergilheartnet because its a church. religion was very importan in their day

  • I just have this to say... you are spectacular

with this video you made my favorite Disney song so much more

of course when I was little I didn't notice it's amazingness...

but recently I just fall head over heels this Disney movie

and I thank you for making it that much better =)

  • is there anyone who can hold that last note

  • @BlazingKicks I certainly can't. I get such chills listening to it.

  • @BlazingKicks I can. Four years of playing Clarinet baby xD I can't hit the note though, I always have to sing it an octave lower.

  • This is an awesome song! I love hunchback of notre dame! Its one of my most favorite movie of all disney. <3

  • Man I love Clopin, he's so awesome and just....gah I dont know, he's my favorite disney character ever.

  • I Bet God Has this on His iPod !

  • Hearing this song, instead of seeing the visuals makes this feel like a radio performance.

  • Man Achilles sat on the dislike button twice bad horse bad!

  • the ending part of this song is like the climax of this movie. gives me chills.

  • @w1126aaa This song is very powerful, it sends me chills when ever the notes from the ending part are played.

  • @dragonlover7196 same!

  • @w1126aaa Same here... its so friggin epic, both clopin and the female singer

  • @jeldundrago i know! it's one of my favorite disney songsxD

  • @w1126aaa

Also gives me chills down my spine.

  • I only know how to pronounce Notre Dame properly because I saw this movie

my mom pronounces it Notter Dame because she saw a movie about the college noter dame

  • the end of this song gives me the chills thumbs up if you agree!

  • Chorus 1 and 2 are my favourites

  • i love the old disney movies. they really speak to the times that they were made. when i watch the new disney it feels like they're not even trying anymore.

  • @imnotaprincess92 what about "Tangled"? I thought it was pretty good

  • @kaialone ya thats like one of the only newer disney movies that isnt crappy :)

  • @kaialone :notbad:

  • this song still gives me chills. incredible intro to a disney classic. and some pretty dark stuff for a kid's movie

  • when i have kids i will not alloow them to watch all of this 3d crap they are watching every old disney movie til there 18

  • The Latin deserves a HOOAH!!

  • i love this sorry you have a "holy" leader who on the outside human and noble and then you have Quasi a mishappen "thing" who looks scarry. but Frollo is a selfesh evil man and Quasi has a good kind heart. it helps you learn not to judge on outside apperances. "what makes a monster and what makes a man" if only kids today could learn this.

  • I got the 'man and the monster' part when I watched it for the first time, but it's interesting how every time I watch any of Disney films, I see it differently. I loved Quasimodo when i was young (a still have his doll :D) but here are so many details that I couldn't understand... I usually watch Disney films again in 5-6 years, and every time it's like a whole new experience... But this is definitely the best beginning ever! :D

  • i got chills

  • @ DarkHeart1018 Oh mai gawsh. O.O

  • @ikararose

    Exactly. xD

  • I am so glad you did this for everyone, thank

You so much for your hard work into putting this together for I truly appreciate the music and the actors especially Frollo.

  • The chick who does the high C or F or what ever at the end all the way through.... She's boss.

  • @ikararose That is not a chick that's Clopin. He one of those dudes who can hit the high notes on the head and knock them out. ^W^

  • @DarkHeart1018 Wait, that can't possibly be Clopin, because she's already singing the note when he's still singing, and that's distinctly a girl's voice. :o

  • @ikararose sigh it's a Dm

  • I would like to thank you for uploading all the Disney songs you've uploaded, it helps me to remember my childhood! I keep singing along to your vids, so keep uploading contents if you can!

  • Who does the voice for Clopin?

  • @Peidmonte89

    Paul Kandel. He's a beast.

  • @therealcritic28 thanks for the info!

  • @therealcritic28 Crap!

    He can SING! :O

  • @TehNerdQueen

    Agreed.

  • look at that disgusting display.

    YES SIR.

  • I started singing this with my friends once. I was surprised when they knew the lyrics to most of it. One of them even knew the lyrics to the conversation between Frollo and the guards, as well as the other characters. It was magical.

  • I challange anyone to do a video post where you sing along ,that includes the WHOLE song, every single tone :) if you make 5.37 then by god you have defeated me :P

  • I love the latin translation that you put in, thanks! I always thought they were just singing random things. xD

  • this is wen disney was great

  • @sonofgod375 i know right....now theres all that dumb crud out there now, everythings in 3d, i miss 2d like this, y'know? we need more of this. i feel bad for the little kids who don't know old disney lol

  • What makes a monster and what makes a man? [:

  • the ending is so epic i love it .. it gives me chills

  • I think the biggest things children will miss is the understanding of where the latin text comes from and how it ties back into the very story (requiem mass)

  • So this is a sing along for kids right? How in the heck are they supposed to hit that 5th octive high note at 5:20 XD haha

  • @sonicblue44 i think the part of this song that amazes me the most is actually the "re" of notre, not dame. As a tenor myself, I can hit the Eb with head voice, but to hit the C# in chest is still hard. but yea, as for children, this song is just too ridiculous. this should be retitled the adult sing-along or something haha

  • always enjoyed how frollo said"And he shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit>" then he falls.

  • GOd! the high note at 5:50 is spine tingling!

  • Awesome song...Even though kids just listen and don't really pay attention to little things, the lyrics are so eloquently crafted. "Who is the monster and who is the man?" Frollo turned out to be the moster and Quasi the man

  • @OyeMiVoz I was 10 when this came out and even I knew that.

  • @DisneyVillain Yeah but when I saw most of the Disney classics of its "Golden Era" I was 5-6ish. All I paid attention to was "the pretty colorful picture moving on the screen". Looking at it w/ mor depth, you appreciate the film more

  • @OyeMiVoz Irony and Karma together as one

  • @OyeMiVoz I love it. Just cause something is animated doesn't mean that it neccesarily must be for kids or shouldn't be well crafted, it should be artistic in story and writing as well as animation. Best examples are the batman animated series, Hayeo Miyazaki, Ralph Baski, and Most of Don bluth and Gary goldsmiths works. (Hunchback was always my favorite of the disney rennesaince)

  • Can't help it but.... The 2 dislikes are the monster not the man. :p

  • Bloody Brilliant!! :D

  • i always got really confused cuz esmarelda looks just like the mom

  • What is the prist thinking exactly? "Oh, this guy has just killed the kids mum. What shall I advise him to do? I know, I'll get the murderer to raise the poor thing! Nothing can go wrong!"

  • the best movie in that year well the best disney movie im 18 and i still love it

  • Frollo has got to be one the most evil Disney villains ever

  • I love Clopin....

  • Tony Jay was so awesome. They couldn't have chosen anyone better for the voice of Frollo. And Clopin is so cool! One of my fav characters of all time.

  • ahahaha 4:26 'his immortal soul' He's not immortal after that gargoyl scares the shit out of him and turns him into a crispy critter whahahaha

  • @DaughterofRaistlin nut his soul is is what its saying not your body but your soul is immortal

  • @vegetarianvamp101

ah thanks for the clarifiaction was really confused ^.^ lol

  • I love how Frollo says "This is an nholy demon, I'm sending it back to hell where is belongs!!" He sounds so innocent!!! Amazing job!!! lmao!!!! :D XD

  • @theworldwillknowme He was awfully self-rightous wa'n't he?

  • LMAO

"Even this foul creature may yet prove one day to be of use to me"

haha he kills you you sonofabitch!! JUDGEMENT FAIL!!

  • No, he didn't. Frollo dies when the gargoyle he was standing on broke and he plunges into molten lead.

  • @DisneyVillain WELL...i'm sure if Quasi had the chance, he would hvae killed his ass. And Quasi certainly didn't help save the douche. Good enough :)

  • @DisneyVillain in the traditional french version of this story Frollo kills Ezmerelda so to get revenge Quazimodo throws him off of the cathedral

  • @kwillyou22 Even worse than that is Esmeralda is a two-faced bitch that can't show respect to Quasi for all he's done. She was even a righteous bitch enough as to accept the crystal vase with shitty flowers than the pot with living flowers. I don't mean to sound cruel but she deserved the death in the novel. Although I don't agree with you on the whole 'Frollo killed her bit', he just had her executed out of jealousy. Even for the time period though I'm sure some democracy existed and she was

  • @kwillyou22 clearly not guilty.

  • @DisneyVillain Though in the book, Quasimodo does kill him.

  • @SaichanRadioPlay1 YEp he does after Frollo causes Esmeralda to be hanged, Quasimodo grabs him and throws him off Notre Dame then goes to where Esmeraldo is buried and dies as he holds her.

  • @DisneyVillain and I thought the Disney version was dark... yikes

  • @DisneyVillain And they thought this would make a good children's story!

  • @Bubben246 It was made in 1981 and it probably wasn't meant for children but some adaptions made it favorable towards children and some for adults.

  • @SamIAmxxoo

But he did help him to find the Court of Miracles, albeit indirectly.

  • at 5:24

i can still picture the doll ringing the bell turning into the real man swinging down the roles after ringing the bells. that scene happens smack dead into that part of the song.

i have not seen this movie in ages but yet i remember that part.

  • This song is deep...

  • I love Frollo. "I am guiltless. She ran, I pursued." LMAO! Frollo to me comes right second to Scar from the Lion King! Love Frollo man!

  • Clopin is a savage.

  • Sorry, Mr. Camp. I couldn't resist, lol.

  • i have a HORRIBLE singing voice, but for some reason i can sing the "Dame" part at the end for as long as Clopin. not showing off. just sayin.

  • Man...Tony Jay..he just was perfect for Frollo.

  • ahhhh that last note Clopin hits gives me goose bumps <3

  • cool

  • The person who is Clopin in this movie is AMAZING! Best voice in the whole movie!

  • was this disney movie meant for kids?

  • @bestmand902 Suprisingly, yes.

  • @celticgurl93 ahhaha uhmm i think @fistacuff56 was being sarcastic durrr...

  • @emrx87 dude, that information just blew my face off

  • Frollo =Monster

    Quasi= Man

  • @celticgurl93 holy shit O_o...... Huston i think we have a winner! seriously would have never thought of that

  • @fistacuff56

Think about it, Whiel Quasi looks like a monster, he is extrmeley kind & caring...Yet Frollo, all he cares about is his want to rid the world of what HE protrays as sin, which means all Gypsies & anyone that isn't like him...When in truth everyone is equal in the lords eyes

  • I'm sorry about your friend, and thank you for putting this up in his honor.

  • I never met him.

  • @DisneyVillain Then why did you attribute it to him...? Sorry, don't mean to pry, just... Curious.

  • I was a fan. He was a famous voice actor who happened to do Frollo's voice in this movie.

  • I love that..."Who is the monster and who is the man?"

I have loved this movie ever since it came out when you get older and watch it again it means something completely different. You learn to appreciate it in ways you didn't before.

  • lol, the EYES!!!

  • omg im taking latin this is latin definitely not french

  • french has latin roots, so a few words might sound alike?

  • @ColoringFreake no this is pure latin ._. im pretty sure of it

  • The chorus is the foreshadowing of a legendnary dark Disney song.

  • wat is it about 5:24 - 5:45 that makes you want to repeat that part over and over and over again...thsi is my favorite disney movie it is so underrated it almost breaks my heart :( im readin the hunchback of notre dame by victor hugo right now on my own ive always loved this movie (and dont worry i know wat really happens in the book)

  • at the really long daaaaaaaaaaammee it sounds like he cuts of and towards the end picks it back up again XD

  • This song is the best Disney song in my opinion. I am thrilled to hear you put this song out there, and in someone else's name. Well done!

    5 stars!

  • 5/5! And that your doing it in honor for some one... All i can say is, god bless you!

  • I'll never get tired of this or any other song of the film. "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is IMO the last truly great movie of Disney. ("Mulan" is almost great but something is missing from it.) When you are on the top, there's only two choices: to stay where you are or go down. And it's usually too hard to stay there, even for Disney.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the chorus to this the movie is one of disneys best from the old days and the soundtrack kicks some ass.

  • Great Job!!!!

  • Solvet saeclum in favilla

Is that part Latin or French?

  • Latin

  • @KBAFourthtime i think Latin because it doesn't sound French!

  • @astjeee I thought so.

  • lol. It most definitely is is Latin. I speak French (a little) and I can tell you for sure that they aren't speaking French, just due to how they are singing it, not to mention I know the words in French XD

  • how come this isn't finshed?

  • What do you mean?

  • I have, I also, did out there, god help the outcasts, topsy turvy, the reprise to this song, someday, i also did the bette midler version of god help the outcasts, but it got rejected.

  • MY FAV DISNEY MOVIE!

  • Man, Disney had some epic songs back when their movies where GOOD. And they were evenly spaced out, no? I remember watching a new Disney movie, and every five to ten minutes they had a song....not even a GOOD song, just annoying and stupid.

Anyway, this is probably one of old Disney's most epic songs. BADASS.

    OLD DISNEY FOR LIFE!

  • I love this song, though I wish they hadn't cut the bells out of it.

  • I love this song!! Just like ph33rt33n00b says, too, this is EPIC!!

I love to sing along to this! Thanks Disney Villain

  • EPIC

  • I always listen to the end more than once!

    Especially Clopins part <3

  • wondrful, nice tune

  • "Deus" is God. "Dies Irae" means "Day of Wrath" so far as I know.

  • thx! luv the song

  • I always thought Dies Irae meant Wrath of God.

  • Holy StarClan, did Clopin hold that same last note through the entire ending??

  • Not the entire ending. But an impossibly large part of it.

  • I've always loved the ending, when Clopin pulles out with his voice, I still love the dutch version the best, but that's my opinion
