  • why are you ina hospital?

  • :(

  • Her hands look like Drake when. He rap

  • @irapespongebob your telling everyone they're sick but look at your name! That's sick

  • never really understood how my ex-girlfriend could cope with club lightings and pounding techno music having had epilectic seizures in the her teenage years! it still bugs me.! hope andrew's fine now! take care

  • @Irapespongebob69 As a first aid instructor I find videos like this useful to show students what a seizure actually looks like because people think what they see on house with the flailing everywhere is the only look of a seizure. It might be sick to you, but its quite useful for others.

  • when u are feeling a seizure coming on, its one of the nastiest feelings :(( well @ least for me it is!

  • What are those things on his head?

  • @Maggie3039 those would be electrodes. They place the on so during a EEG (electroencephalogram). They help map out the brainwaves to see if a person has Epilepsy. I'd imagine this person is getting video monitored, meaning a eeg thats video monitored so an epileptologist (epilepsy focused dr) or a neurologist can see what might be triggering the seizure or even where its firing off from. No, Im no doctor, I am epileptic, seizire free for a year with meds

  • is he dancing to some techno music or what

  • awww. i feel bad for him.

  • i have a seizure disorder too :(

  • @guido4lifeman I have epilepsy as well.

  • @andrewplusalicia stinks you have to go through this.....stay strong

  • I CANOT BELIVE I CLICKED THIS VIDEO SCARY LOL

  • @waijayo even though this sounds really mean/rude....u do have a point. Everyone Is thinking it but nobody does anything about it :/

  • When will we man up as a race and realize that there is absolutely no point in severely retarded people existing. We should abort them as soon as they are diagnosed. They literally have no functional consciousness and cannot socialize. There is simply nothing in there, it is a flaw of our genetics and it simply a waste of one's lifetime to care for these people. It is also a huge burden on society. I hope we come to realize this and not let religious bs get in the way.

  • @waljayo to be quite honest with you i have epilepsy ok its not something anyone wants and you know unfortunately some people are perfectly fine like me for instance. i didnt know about mine till i was a junior in highschool. i am completely functional as well as taking AP classes. what is pathetic is you people who have absolutely no knowledge on epilepsy and think that people who have it are useless. you are certainly mistaken. How dare you put him down. you should be ashamed of yourself >:[

  • @emotionalrawrrz Clearly, I am not speaking of people like you have can form rational thoughts and clearly have enough intelligence to function in society. I am speaking of "humans" far more gone...

  • @waljayo When it comes to human rights, logic is thrown out the window. Do you think it makes sense to let an American bash our political leaders because we are protected by our freedom to speech? I don't think so. Once a sperm fertilizes on egg, it is a life. I agree with pro-choice, but I don't believe in aborting a child because it may be retarded in some way. And how could I not get emotionally involved? Now that I know I live in the same country with someone like you, I want to immigrate.

  • @Thewootwoot1337 Actually, I am a biologist and I'm doing research to help people on daily basis. I am not basing my statements on emotion, but rather logic. Also, how can you possibly compare a human vegetable with no consciousness to a person of a specific race? Your latent racism has shown for no reason here; talk about outside the ballpark :/

  • @waljayo There actually wasn't a lick of racism in my statement. I don't see black and white as non-equals the same way I don't see normal and abnormal people as non-equals. I'm not going to bother with this argument anymore simply because I received some very fulfilling news a couple days ago. I hope that you do well in your field and I implore you do re-evaluate the way you feel towards people.

  • @waljayo i apologize for the confusion however dont you think even the most disabled hve a chance at happiness as well:/ i believe everyone should have a chance of happiness

  • @waljayo Comments like these make me fucking cringe. How dare you nay say human life? If you believe in god, you're going straight to hell. Every human deserves a chance at life, whether or not they have a cognitive or physical disability. I work with these 'severely retarded people' every day, and I have gotten so much fulfillment out of it. Why don't you spend more then a few minutes at a time with these people and I guarantee your mind will be changed.

  • @Thewootwoot1337 No, I don't believe in god as I am a rational being. Who cares about your selfish "fulfillment", these people have no consciousness or joy and they are a drain on those around them. It is silly to keep this charade up.Try using logic instead of emotion.

  • @waljayo The true burden to this world are people like you that sit on the computer and critique everything they see because it's not what they think is right. Instead of bashing on people with specific needs, why don't you advocate for their needs, fund raise for funding disease research? Saying that these people don't have a right to life is the EXACT same thing as saying a black child doesn't have a right to life just because their skin isn't the same as yours or mine. Fuck you.

  • Thanks for the nice comments all. I had been doing better on some massive doses of Keppra and Lyrica but I had a pair of back to back grand mals last week that landed my butt back in the hospital. Much better now, we are probably going to try seizure medicine number seven. Hope all you others with seizures are doing allright. Hey, we are all still here right? That is definetly something to be thankful for.

  • hope you got your good medication now dood. guess you passed trought all the tests in the world. 400 mg a day of epanutin is working fine for me since 2008/2009, bur we are all diferent. all the best for you and your family

  • shihonoryu.........thats not funny, i mean ho is it

  • Lol

  • The technician who placed those electrodes should be ashamed of him/herself. That is an unacceptable usage or lack thereof the 10-20 system. The guy is bald for god's sake, how long would it have taken you to actually measure!

  • Who ever hooked him up did a terrible job! Need to stick to the 10/20 for your patients!

  • Aw :'(

  • Come on buddy we all belive you can make it through

  • How are you doing now? I got switched to a new med - Zonegran for seizures and it's much better side effect wise seems to help somewhat with seizures but haven't quite found the balance of meds to control them. =/

  • Could it be a Rolandic seizure...many doctors are not familiar with this type of seizure. It usually is centered in the motor cortex, very top, middle of the brain.

  • Hang in there buddy(:

  • well buddy,i'm pretty much in the same boat as ya are,but mines epilepsy..mine started on 2004 after a bad motorcycle accident and sometimes my seizures go up to 15-20 mins, then after i stop breathing and somehow come to again, dang scares me to even type this knowing that it just triggers without a sign ya know..oh well now its gotten better throughout thank God,just gotta keep praying buddy..going through a brain operation is the only way to stop the seizures i read on an article once..peace

  • thank you for shairing the video

  • o man i couldent watch the video i would prob cry but andrew hun its ok god will take cafe of it u k o what to do tell god how u fel or what pain ur in and ask him to take the pain away and put it on himself i do it and it works it may sound ba to ppl but if u think about it he wants us to get close to him and thats one of the ways i by talking to him so try it abd hang in there

  • hugz n prayerz. hang in there Andrew . i have seizures too ( complex partial seizures )

  • when did he began to have this seizures? and why did he got them?

  • @monjanse

started in 2006 and no one has any idea why. =(

  • @andrewplusalicia it's more and more common.

  • @BettyB1011 yes im seeing a very alarming trend on youtube of video's of seizures.

  • Is his name Adrew Huggins? I use to know a guy named Andrew.

  • @UTUBEFAN19871

    Nope not Andrew Huggins.

  • I was just in an Epileptic Monitoring Unit for 2 weeks with constant EEG and video monitoring going, but for soe reason I never had a seizure. I usually have them weekly, before, it was daily. I was put on 1,500 keppra twice a day. How did the PET go? How is it preformed? I was supposed to have a PET and an Ictal Spect done but I never got them done while I was there.

  • Gretchen,

We have an appointment with Vanderbilt next week, so we will be posting all the test results after December 5th. As for you, I saw that your dog is having seizures... And you are having seizures. Don't you think that is related somehow? Also, the fact that you didn't have any seizures at the hospital and that you have them only at home, makes me think you might have something going on Environmental in your house. I would like to know about you and your seizures. Thank you. :)

  • Opps, I replied to Kitty instead f you, my reply is down below. I got my dog after I started with seizures so it's actually not related.. My dog has Epilepsy from genetic factors I have them from head truama

  • sent you a message though here

  • Did you get the results back?

  • @Seizstore

We thought we had a location pin-pointed to a scar on my left frontal lobe. However, after additional testing it seems that my seizure activity covers my entire frontal lobe, so the scarring is most likely secondary. Still trying to work it out. Looks like I am not a surgical candidate. Meds are having trouble controlling my seizures so we are in a sort of limbo. Getting pretty tired of seizing. =(

  • @andrewplusalicia This is me as well I just use the other one for sz videos this is my main Youtube. Man I'm so sorry to hear about all that.. I have seizures in my frontal lobe as well and they can be pretty hard to control. Have they tried combinations with Keppra? I can totally relate with being tired of szing.. it gets totally frustrating. Praying for and thinking of you

  • @Gretchenfan76

yeah we have tried several different drug combinations. Keppra has always been a mainstay and we have maxed out the Keppra dosage right now, taking 4000mg daily. Our doc recently added a third medication and this week we are going to change meds again. Pray because it is always really hard when changing meds. thanks for all the prayers and concerns everyone.

  • @andrewplusalicia I take 2500 mg of Keppra a day along with 200 mg of Lamicatal and 0.1 mg of Klonopin and helps alot with my Partial and Grand mal and abscence seizures. I was on other stuff and it didnt work but now im doing alot better with this med combo

  • @andrewplusalicia Aw man I could totally imagine (I don't remember if I mentioned, but I'm Gretchenfan76 on here too I just use this account for storage of videos..) I really hope they just get everything sorted out for you.. I know it's definatly no fun to seiz all the time at all. Praying for you!

  • I assume that EEG also showed seizure activity.

    What is a PET test?

  • In the Epileptic Unit I didn';t have seizres, but I've had them many other times in the hospital. This was like my 4th or 5th time in long term monitoring. They told me I was having psychological seizures, but after the last two visits to the Epilepsy centers they said it's not because I have abnormal spiking and brain waves. In my sleep I spike alot and I also have something going on in the frontal lobe triggering my seizures. The medication they put me on helps them which is why I didn't

  • have them in the Epileptic unit..

  • The test you see on this video is a constant EEG monitoring system. Andrew stayed in the hospital for about 5 days hooked up to this EEG. Before this test, we thought they might be Non-Epileptic, but it is confirmed by Vanderbilt, that he does have seizure activity. His seizures are firing from all over his brain, which leaves him no option for brain surgery. So we are still undergoing more test. He just had another EEG this week and a PET test. We are awaiting results.

  • Is there confirmed EEG? Do you have NEAD - Non-epiletic attack disorder like me?
