  • And that's how Redbull is born!

  • that police man saved that guys rump from roasting

  • ajajajaajajajajajajajaajaj

  • Great music choice!

  • Gotta love the UFO-Car at the end. I call Roswell on that one! hahaha

  • The thing about the 'Ornithopter' is that if he had fixed the wings and tail together, put an up right tail fin on it with ailerons and stuck a propeller on the front then it would have actually flown. Little did he know at the time.

  • unbelievable they had television and motor vehicle before flight

  • @lokalllize

they did not have TV's at that time...everyone had to go to the movies to watch clips like this

    GET YOUR HISTORY RIGHT

if they did have the first TV, probably no one owned it or could not afford

  • 1:51 This is the "Frying Saucer"

  • I doubt these were the "first" attempts, (before the Wright brothers) - looks more like sometime in the 1930s

  • @ZKMX7 You're right about that one. Audio (or sound) wasn't invented till 1929.

  • Man these people sure had imagination. The ornithopter wins by far as the most dumb though.

  • LOL not making fun but that was excellent..quite the imagination, that i do admire!

  • Well it those were just comedy and not real attempts they achieved their goal haha

  • I applaud all of the failed 'trys' but some of them (like :13) what did they imagine would happen. Plus I think I had made 1:06 into a Halloween costume. It wasn't good for picking up chicks either.

  • Some of these were actually created as a joke, especially the "ornithopter" which was done as a part of comedy short in the 1930s. Others were created by your typical "never say die and never think things through" inventors who were still attempting wild means of flight long after the Wright Brothers showed how it was done.

  • @WelshWebb Loved that Gray Goose too. Was it supposed to carry passengers? God bless 'em for trying!!!

  • @oldfart387 I'm not certain about the Goose, other than it looks as though a lot of work but very little thought went into it.

  • @oldfart387 "Callling passengers now boarding 'The Grey Goose' "....Obviously if you fail to get off the ground your fares refunded in full :) ...

  • absolutely side splitting. crying.

  • MyFootage website sells this footage in HD and all other formats
