  • Is he lip singing.??

  • @Jackson031000 Not easy to find out, since the video is out of sync with the audio part.

  • @Jackson031000 no the audio is not in the same time of the image. It take me 1 min to match the audio and video with virtualdub.I reup the video on tagtele.

  • Ii ador vocea...si carliontii!!

  • The anthem of Woodstock 1969. Joe cocker is the white Ray Charles that isn't blind.... this white man here got SOUL rock and roll music in his blood.

  • Joe Cocker. Surely the Best (ever) White Soul Singer....And a man who, since this record, has turned out Classic after Classic.

  • ESTA CHINGON ESTE VIDEO Y LA ROLA

  • Joe used to sing with his soul!! It's amazing!!

  • So, so wonderful. I remember hearing this as the intro to the "Wonder Years" while dinner was cooking in the kitchen and I was doing homework in my room. It's a good memory. Parents died soon after but this is a good memory. Proust references a certain smell as a way of remembering, I reference this as a gateway to my childhood.

  • Pages guitar work on the studio version is MONSTROUS . Psychedelic beauty

  • Better than the Beatles and that's not a small accomplishment.

  • WOW brings back so many memories of when i started ruining my life.-1968-

    Drugs-rock n roll & sex...in that order.

Youth is wasted on the young. So much older now. Wiser is wasted on the old.

    Perú

  • joe .........love ya

  • Grande Classico da musica internacional, sei que essa musica é original dos Beatles, mas acho que essa musica foi bem melhor com a voz de Joe Cocker de forma indiscultivel.

  • excuse me for my ignorance but... did he covered the beatles or the beatles covered him?

  • @donibard written by McCartney and Lennon for Ringo.

  • This version has a sad feeling.

  • Great music -tear tracks-thank you...

  • To Joe Cocker:...You made this song into a real song...You made this song the most influential song in my life and I am sure many others...You took the words and gave them true meaning...My kids love this song too.....(Your version of course)...hehehe..

  • Hmmm .... I was just starting school when Joe was belting this out! Goodnight! :)

  • Super..... Song.... I see the wonder years child, but in spanish language...

  • @Andresrozo31 Colombiaaa...

  • Phenomenal.

  • Do you know what broadcaster originally produced this? It looks a lot like the production style that "Beat Club" on ARD (Das Erste in West Germany) used, but I know that it was also aired on Top of the Pops on BBC1 in England in '68.

    Thanks!

  • God... I had forgotten how handsome and sexy he was.

  • Love someone who had that passion. Joe had it

  • check out Mad Dogs and Englishmen LIVE:--- They do this song and it is amazing.

  • all man

  • oneof the most soulful singer's of our time. no version can touch joe's heart and soul poured into that song

  • Lindoooooooooooooooooo!

  • Joe Cocker's version is BY FAR the best.

  • I always loved Joe Cocker's version more than The Beatles' original.

    Thank you "The Wonder Years".

  • @TheCheckers9444 .... Grand that you think that too....A

.Beatles song... but on this very rare occasion we have a song better than the original......I know that many will dispute that , but here it is......xx

  • @Notstrongbow I posted this song just a few days ago with the same remark. I said that it would be arrogant to sing a Beatles song yet Joe here, did this one better. One of my friends said 'it was because he sang it with more soul." I could not agree more with you......

  • @TheCheckers9444 Dude...all i can say is The Wonder Years was hands down the BEST show ever !!! It meant so much to me while i was growing up. Hard to put into words, but was an extraordinarily special series. (P.S. I heart Winnie Cooper 4-ever )

  • @TheCheckers9444 Probably the ONLY guy to improve upon the Beatles

  • Amazing.... I imagine the fellow running the switcher and the cameramen spinning the turrets were as worn out as Joe was by the end of this.... I had never seen this version.... breath taking,,,,

    Ed Sharpe Archivist for SMECC

  • Yeah this is awesome. One of the few bands that sound pretty damn close to the album while live... they don't make them like this any more..

  • why the hell is he behind mariah carey on rolling stones list of the 100 best singers??

  • @shippodna because people that read the rolling stone nowadays like that crap...

  • @shippodna Rolling Stone mag has sucked for at least 20 yrs. Commercialized bullshit! I haven't read on of their rags since the late 80's. The last one I bought was when Joey Ramone died. Probably never going to buy another one,

  • Danyl Johnson Bought me here :D

  • 4 people have a verry bad taste ..

  • wasn't this the footage in where they stab the organ?

  • Fantástico. Genial. Simplesmente, Cocker!

  • I know Lennon and McCartney wrote it, but have the Beatles ever recorded it it?

I've never heard them sing it.

I'm more impressed with the way he sings like a bad dubbed movie:)

  • Simply Amazing

  • It's not often that you hear a cover song that's better than the original. This is one of those rare ones.

  • The Wonder Years <33

  • The beatles wrote this song......but......their version doesn't make me feel like this.........Joe Cocker kicks ass!!!

  • I would like to know why four people (till now) didn't like it...

Joe Cocker and (what a) band playing the unique Beatles's version that overrides the original one...

  • Rock & Soul!!

  • i couldn't see guitar player's face, is it Jimi Page?

  • @AaronBuzzer *Jimmy. Hendrix is the one whose name is spelled "Jimi"

  • @ChannelMan434 Jimmy Page then,

  • 4 people don't like Wonder Years

  • Wonder years

  • Four people disliked this song because they have no friends.

  • gosh wasnt joe great way back then. i had never really seen the whole song of that version. whenever i managed to catch it ,it was only pieces of it. wonderful. thanks for posting.

  • STUPENDA.E' LA PRIMA VOLTA CHE UNA CANZONE RIPRESA , UNA COVER SUPERA L'ORIGINALE.E L'ORIGINALE ADDIRITTURA E' DEI BEATLES

  • the beatles are the orginals thereffore the best

  • the camera work is great, but you should listen to the woodstock one. Much better!

  • I love the Beatles, but this is the one and only cover song that I like.

    Why? It is frickin' sweet!

  • @IxCOMMENTxCOOLxVIDS the beatles composed this song you goof, no matter how much cocker tries to make it his own by being overly dramatic and emotional he always will be the (unintelligible) cover singer

  • few people of my age and race would appreciate this greatness... who do they listen ?to:drake, rihanna and that justin beaver

  • one stage in his career he was deported out of australia for drinking a bottle of J.D. on stage

  • Joe goes crazy and the rest seem so calm, pure feeling hence why it was better than the Beatles version!

PS. I cry when the show ended:)..

  • epic

  • this cover is so awesome because it is soo different from the original. its a dead tie in my opinion. i loooove the beatles, but this cover is really too good to argue lol wish i lived in those days.

  • Now that's music. All you people listening to noise today take notes

  • Christ people, quit being such douche bags with all the this version is better than that one horseshit. I see it on every cover page I go to and its just lame. This is good, the beatles version is good. No STFU and move on.
