I was very upset by the cancellation! In fact, I STILL am! Jericho was so well scripted, and the actors and actresses were great. Plus the storyline was intelligent and thought-provoking. Look at some of dumb shows the major networks are airing now! It's sickening!
Jericho was the only new show worth watching last year! CBS will never be watched in my household ever again. They are idiots. Jericho was fantastic! It needs to be picked up by another channel. One that actually has intelligence regarding timing and advertising!

I was involved in a letter campaign to save Twin Peaks back in 1991, and have watched other original shows get cancelled prematurely since then. It's a tough business, and it IS a business. But rather than bash all of CBS, I think it's time to thank the ones within CBS who gave Jericho a second shot. They didn't have to, but they did. Many thanks to them and the cast/crew of Jericho. From my opinion, Jericho sucked. It was like a soap opera and very unrealistic. I only watched a couple of episodes and people in that situation would not think about recovering old relationships but about saving your ass. Its good that Jericho was cancelled, it was a stupid Nuclear Soap Opera, thats my opinion.
You're totally entitled to your opinion. There were moments in Jericho's first season where the plots and situations could have been from any CBS drama, but its fans can be forgiven for that. If anything, it was a sappier version of '24,' minus the gratuitous violence and constant edge-of-your-seat conspiratorial drama. There's a niche audience for that and while you are not it, many of us are.
my opinion is that the serie was perfetct. but that is my taste, not urs.
anyways, can't rlly understand why they stopd the serie.. im fuckin frustrated to be honest. first cbs made me addicted to the serie, before they suddenly stopd produce it? wtf.. tbh i think the show had a lot of viewers over the world, cuz im from Norway and still got addicted and heard friends talk about it. so.. screw u CBS
@Iskalld i was always curious how a US drama dragged attention to international viewers. ...however i believed this show to be the greatest i have ever seen and almost think it was cancelled because it was so good that viewers cant handle its jizz-in-your-pants amazingness

Dannewsnz, you must not understand how shows are actually rated. Unless you have been chosen to have a special box on your TV, the networks don't care. It's those people (the "Neilson families") that are counted. Not you and me. If 200mil people watched Jericho and none of them Neilson families, CBS would count ZERO viewers and advertisers would be upset. Jericho dominates iTunes, Xbox LIVE and CBS' own site in legit downloads, where every person is counted. The networks have to get with it.
Ah, I see. It is similar here in New Zealand where only 400 homes determine what rates. I wasn't aware that it was topping the legal download charts as well. If CBS are making revenue from these downloads, then indeed it does not makes sence. The only reason I can think of is that they are looking for a king hit in the timeslot.
Legal downloads aren't making the huge bucks to support the show. It's a very nascent stage, but like iTunes showed with music, it's totally doable. Neilson families are secret types. Hopefully with digital cable and IPTV, we can start counting more actual viewers and not "samples" of them from a system from the 50's!
Anything scheduled opposite "American Idol" will fail to be a ratings hit here... and CBS kept doing that to Jericho. It's sad.

CBS totally screwed the show over. They claim to want the 18-40 demographic yet air advertisements aimed toward seniors and stay-at-home moms. CBS has a history of cancelling groundbreaking shows (Joan of Arcadia, anyone?), so this should come as no surprise, but one would think they'd learn their lesson one of these days. Old-school networks need to catch up to new-school viewing habits.
