@GeorgeLupine3 That's right! I had never heard of that before, but it is true that this was probably the last picture that Jimi Hendrix ever saw. He was in some kind of a "funk" and with some friends he went and saw this film. Apparently, he got caught up in the film's "world," and he was so satisfied that he danced on the sidewalk afterward. It's not an uplifting narrative exactly, but it brought his spirits up with its poetic beauty. He died a couple of days later. [Thank you, Google Books.]
This is a beautiful story with a spiritual meaning.....the only thing I'd say in criticism is that the little girl shouldn't be swimming out to sea that far without someone else there incase she gets into difficulties!!! But fortunately the camera crew and film crew were all there at the time! lol
This is such a beautiful tale....it gets a thumbs up from me. The Italians never fail to impress with their poetry and art. Individually the Italians are beautiful, colourful, expressive people with much kindess and generosity.
Ottimo,che gran film..!!

So beatiful , this scene clash so powerfully with the putrescent polluted wasteland that you can see in this movie ...

She's awesome. L'eclisse is another favorite. Anything with her by Michelangelo Antonioni then I'm there.
