love 60040, but someone told me that not all 60's are able to couple to hta's, is that right, cos it would be great to see a 60 on hta's in south wales. longer trains than the 66 can handle too.
It's not all HTA's that can be coupled to Class 60's - a few modified with standard screw couplings rather than buckeye to enable 'normal' loco's to haul them - and being a South Wales EWS driver, yes, I would love a 60 or two on the coal circuits down here!!
The HTA's were originally modified for use on the Scunthorpe coal flows, iirc, where there are driver only run rounds been going on for a few years now.

Tug number 40 at her usual best! It will be interesting if 60074 ever ends up on the Fiddlers Ferry coals as well...
