As a diehard trekkie(i watch all star trek stuff just dont read any of the books or magazines) I liked the movie. I think it was good not great. It did follow some of the chronology of the TOS and Archer's enterprise along with everything else. They did do a few mistakes in it too. I just dont understnd why they need to keep changing how the beam in the transporter works at every star trek season or movie.

Btw why does your voice have to go like a few octaves higher everytime?

I agree... I don't think it was AMAZING.. but a real solid good movie... It was a good re-introduction to the characters.. the casting is great.. they did such a good job there... cpl small distractions (Tyler Perry??.. kinda just took me out of the movie... so did Winona Ryder) but the main characters.. perfect choices.. It was a really good set-up for the next one.. now they can just jump into a good action packed mission of some kind

Star Trek was entertaining. The supporting cast is top notch, particularly Checkov, Scotty & Uhuru. And you're right, they did a good job of bringing them all together. They kept the plot simple, which allowed them to better develop the characters.
