Do you ever add eyes to this pattern or is it not necessary for pike/muskie? I'm thinking about a slightly downsized version for plus-size bass and maybe adding some 3D dome eyes. Awesome fly!
@creamernator Eyes can be added. The idea behind this fly originally was super simple but super functional, so I omitted them. I do think eyes play a role in predators, nature proves it with false eyes (spots) on the tails of fish that are typically prey. In this fly, the dominating head feature of the baitfish emulator helps give it a distinct end and target. Eyes aren't mandatory, but I don't think if you put some on you would be wasting your time. Thanks for the comment!
@wilsomc01 If I were to pick a top three for pike/musky to have it would be 1) White/Silver 2) Black/Gold 3) Red and/or Pink. Basically having a natural bright, natural dark, and a hot colorway. Here in Wisconsin a colorway that has done very well for me is a gold/copper/purple mixture; think walleyes and suckers here. Matching the "hatch"!

I'm heading to Alaska over the summer and plan on chasing some pike. What are some of your favorite color combos for your pike/musky streamers?
