  • Theses scene's should of been left in, it would of showed Traxler's belief of Reese's story and where Reese got his sidearm from.

  • 0:59 he better be

  • I could see him believing Reese after the Terminator starts killing all of the cops. But they can't do a thing to kill it.

  • Cameron finally realized that what Traxler believes or not doesn't actually matter in this story and we don't need to pause for those moments. But a Winfield and Henriksen cop show would have been great.

  • Winfield and Henriksen were so good that Traxler and Vokovich could have had a movie of their own.

  • so many deleted scenes in the first Terminator, that were actually vital to the whole story..this explains where/when they got the gun they had afterwards. Also, other deleted scenes explain completely, that they wanted to go and destroy cyberdyne, where kyle was killed in the end by the terminator, also, bosses from cyberdyne retrieve a chip from terminator at the end...no idea why that was deleted...it gives ful understanding to the big picture, should you not know the T. or watch T2 at all...

  • I just watched this tonight and I noticed that Traxler is the only guy that doesn't seem to totally dismiss Reese's claims. It seems to me that, while not believing initially, when the 101 drove into the police station, he ran in to check on Sarah, knowing full well that everything they said was right. And two minutes later he was dead.

  • I was a bit disappointed - I read the novelization before seeing the movie, back in 1984-85 ish, so I was expecting this scene to be in it, where Traxler passes his gun over before dying...

  • OMG the last scene adds so much to the movie!

  • why delete this scene

  • I like the way Traxler pieces it together and gives his gun to protect the future.

  • Hehe, Cameron sure liked Michael Biehn and Lance Henriksen as they both act in Aliens! (Kyle Rees - Terminator, cpl. Hicks - Aliens), (det. Hal here in clip, Bishop in Alens). XD

  • @666Amrod Don't forget Bill Paxton is in both series as well. He plays the blue haired punk at the very beginning of this movie.

  • @Ducttapestuff I think Paxton is in every single James Cameron movie except The Abyss and Avatar. I was somewhat surprised he wasn't in those. Biehn is also in The Abyss and was supposed to be in Avatar, but Cameron decided not to use him.

  • I LIKE IT!!!

  • Why did they cut the last scene, it doesn't throw the pacing off anymore than Reese punching through that office window to get Sarah.

  • Did Traxler die in that last scene or was he just watching Kyle and Sarah escaping? I liked his character and Vulcovich.

  • @The1979Warriors Proably when the Terminator come

  • Not sure on the last clip but the "He'd better be." scene I thought was a great moment.

  • The last scene does give an explanation of how Reese gave sarah the gun when he left from the motel.

  • That last scene honestly gave me chills. I remember always wondering if the cops were like, "Well crap, it's a futuristic robot killing machine ... crazy guy was right!"

  • Back then there was no body armor that could take that many rounds of fire. If i had seen that i would believe them too.

  • I don‘t understand the scene. Suddenly they arrive somewhere and then he says “He‘s got her” and they urge back? What‘s all about that? Where does he know what and… I don‘t understand it.

  • Such Traxler scenes exist? I knew it! He dafinately had a more skeptical ear for the case.

About the 1st scenes, dunno if I miss them, depends of how they'd had used them exactly.

The 1 where he shows he believes Kyle is OK to be deleted, it was just too soon to feel that way at that time & also not believable that he admits this to his colleague.

About the last, it'd be OK to look at them confused & give the gun, but this chat was overdone long & heroic for the given moment & circumstances.

  • Thumbs up for Paul Winfield (R.I.P.) (Lt. Traxler)

  • @ozzy2pac Paul Winfield was a great actor, I liked him in "The Terminator" as Lt. Traxler, he was awesome as Captain Clark Terrell in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan".

  • I knew it!

I always liked Traxler and had the feeling that he is somewhat less ignorant than the other cops...!

    Great scenes! *thumbs up*

  • i read that the final scene with traxler talking to reese and sarah existed. also read that detective vukovich (lance henriksen) survives the shooting and ends up paralyzed from the waist down.

  • @KingKong317 That would be amusing, considering that Lance Henriksen plays a character in Aliens (another James Cameron film) who ends up inoperative from the waist down.

  • A good scene, should of been in, is in!!! like T3 never existed :D

  • They really should not have cut scene at then end where he gives Reese the revolver. They would have been good for his character in the film.

  • I don't agree that they should have kept these scenes as without them the frustration of knowing this insane story to be true is so much bigger and therefor the built up release of everyone getting wiped out (in for example the police station) for not believing is that much greater.

  • @Doppe1ganger I think you have a good point but, the only person who believed reese died and it was too late and nobody else believed reese, so i don't know, maybe they should had keep the scene, maybe not.

  • To all the people that wanted these scenes in it. Just pretend they were. Thats what I do lol!

  • Lol.

  • je savais q u il etait pas mort !! lol

il est comme mace windu increvable

  • i wonder where he is at in this part the terminator where is the gun fire at

  • you hear screaming at 1:12 like ahhhahahah

  • 26 years later i knew there was a reason we did'nt see the terminater kill him off properly!?

  • I wonder if Jim Cameron could ever be persuaded to restore these lost scenes...

  • @KingCharltonHeston Given that this is the same man who gave us a pile of CGI shit like 'Avatar'... no. Cameron's lost the plot.

  • @Kainlarsen Hey, "Avatar" was a damn good film. Cameron has not "lost the plot". You want someone who's "lost the plot" and churns out CGI shit? Look no further than George Lucas and his godawful Star Wars prequels along with that crapfest Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

  • @KingCharltonHeston They're all terrible. Proof positive that good old inginuety and quality storylines are abandoned in favour of fancy effects. If you don't believe me, go look up redlettermedia's reviews on Avatar, the Star Wars Prequels, and many many more. He's on youtube, see for yourself.

  • @Kainlarsen No offense, but I'd rather see a movie myself and make my own decisions about its quality rather than listen to some pundit tell me what's good and what's bad. After all, there is no such thing as bad taste because taste, especially in media, is purely subjective. Besides, this is the 21st century, and there are a lot people these days who lack the insight and imagination to stay attached to a story without pretty lights and glitter.

  • @KingCharltonHeston

"George Lucas and his godawful Star Wars prequels"

    Misa Jar Jar Binks.

    Misa bestest characta eva.

  • well, it's proven that someone believed kyle

  • @icytadbull It also explains where Kyle got his gun.....^_^

  • I like these scenes and yes they would have helped flesh out the character more. however, in terms of pacing for the film, I can understand why they were cut

  • I wish they would have left the scene in where he got the gun. It is the first time other than Sarah, that a person understands something really is going on. It where they say, damn looks like he wasnt crazy.

  • WHY werent this included in the film.

As a die hard fan of this film i would have loved for them to have included ALL these scenes.

  • it definently makes sense now i always wondered where reese got the gun from

  • In all fairness ReturnedGrazzt, Cupis made a valid point, albeit with some minor unneeded hostility. Don't blow it out of proportion you dried up cock.

  • I'm conflicted about this scene. I like it a lot, but I'm not sure it's realistic that he would believe Reese under the circumstances. I believe that he's a nice guy and didn't want to do anything unnecessary, but going so far as to say that he believes Reese...it's just a little far-fetched. It sucks though, because Traxler was cool and the scenes themselves were really cool too, especially the final one where he gives Reese his gun.

  • I agree completely.

  • @TheShockMaster Why else would he say "Shes to stay alive son do what you have to do"

  • 1984!

  • man; that dude took a lot of slugs. how in the hell can he be alive? stupid!

  • @CupisHomines

You took a lot of cumshots and you're still alive. Amazing.

Also, where's your billion dollar franchise? If you haven't got an answer, I believe you can shut your trap, because it's less stupid than what you can come up with. Otherwise you'd be making your own movies by now, Mr. Expert.

  • fuck off, prick!

  • I rember the last part a little bit but the rest...Its a shame they havent(to my knowledge) released aa director's cut of terminator.

  • wtf! should have given them the m16 he had.

  • Shortly afterward the radio mentions the entire LA Police mobilizing for a "massive manhunt". If Traxler had given Kyle and Sarah a rifle, they'd be easy to spot, whereas a revolver is concealable.

  • @blooregardo besides its not like he could give them one with the state he's in

  • Bishop? WTF is an android doing here?

  • I actually liked Traxler. what a shame he had to die that and henrickson as well

  • @1:16,so that's how Reese got a .357 magnum revolver(Lt.Traxler gave it to him). The first time Reese is seen with that gun,is when Sara and him came out of that sewer tunnel the next following morning(I imagine he took it from one of the many dead police officers lying throughout the station).

  • i knew traxler somehow believed reeses story. they could leave the last scene in.

  • They believed when saw T-800. Then they just die. It is more dramatic.

And theres only Sarah treat Kyle as normal man.

If deleted scenes was leaved in final version that makes movie looks more 70's than 80's (IMHO).

  • hmm i thought Reese got the gun from the guy that was supposed to watch him and got kneed in the chest and knocked out.

  • If they put that last scene in they probably would've made the scene with him getting out of cuffs without a gun. I think that would've made the movie just a tiny bit better. Lol.

  • well that last scene proves that another person believes kyle's story

  • I imagine nothing happening when he shot a guy with a rifle at point blank range would persuade most people!

  • thank god all those scenes were cut!

  • you look like shit boss.....yo mamma

  • Why did the Traxler death seem to remind me of the Dyson death?

(And no stupid comments concerning skin colour)

  • Woah, what I just say? No skin refferences!

  • for me its too bad that Lance Henriksen died in t1, I would have loved to seen him in t2

  • The "nobody goes home, nobody else comes through. It's just him.......and me" scene was in T1, why is it being passed off as a deleted scene??

  • good scene, i can see why take it out but still would've been good

  • they should have kept the last scene.

  • @ozzy2pac I agree those scenes were great, Cameron should've kept them in. Traxler really played a key part in helping Sarah & Reese, should've been in the movie,

  • @ozzy2pac i agree, the last clip would have been enough.

  • @ozzy2pac Yeah i agree and the scene with Lance henrerksin

  • @ozzy2pac definitively, very powerful scene

  • @ozzy2pac YEAH

  • such a nice guy

  • RIP Traxler..

  • aww poor dude, would of bin good scene

  • that would have been cool

  • I would've liked for them to have kept that in.

  • traxler has a sense that it's not just "moon talk" by kyle ... intersting that i get to see scene which i've never seen before even though i've watched that movie almost a hundret times and am a big fan of it...very interesting stuff that the "future" has revealed to me :D

  • Are these deleted scenes available on any dvd?

  • i read they are in a deluxe dvd edition.

  • Yeah, any T2 2DVD Edition has them on the 2nd DVD.

  • Darn. I wish they had put that in the movie,.

  • what would be cool if Lt. Traxler was in T5. He survived being wounded and Judgement Day. To see him as an old man in the resistance. A link to the past and future in the franchise.

  • Lt. Traxler would be a more important character if theses scenes had been left in the movie!

  • The actor who played traxler died about 10 years ago.

  • 5 years.

  • they should make a movie with ALL the deleted scenes in. LOL. It would be like 4 hours long!

  • Someone did make an extended version of The Terminator with all the deleted scenes reinserted back in. its on fan edit, try googling it

  • Thank You

  • he was a good cop.

  • I don't think the scene is needed, but it is reassuring. I always had a hunch that he believed Reese's story. He never laughs at Reese or the footage, he tells the other guy to "shut up" and he has that look of belief in his eyes.

  • Cameron thought this scene wasn't needed, and he was right.

  • The whole movie isn't needed either is it? But I'm glad it's there to enjoy.

These scenes should have been left in

  • i know the resident evil games borrow a lot from films, but re2 where the black cop gives leon something while he is wounded and dying, surely it was inspired by this. Especially the musical notes when they are getting in the car, virtually identical to the ingame music from re2

  • so glad tht last clip was not included that woulda been so corny

  • These scenes should not have bin deleted

  • I so agree...the scene where Lt. Traxler tells Kyle Reece to do whatever he has to do to keep Sarah alive as he hands him his gun and ammo is awesome and ironic...the only person who finally believes Kyle's story dies in front of him! :(

  • I with you on that too. This scene should not have been deleted.

  • Dunno guys: I figure Cameron felt Traxler talking to Sarah & Reece cut the pace of the sequence: the Arnie is tearing the place apart looking for Sarah, so there's no time to do anything but RUN.

Still...nice to have the extra scenes.

  • Totally agree with you, it's just the typical mistake in this kind of movies, suddendly cut the action with the "You were right" stuff and besides he was supposed to be killed, as his pal saw him dead and decided to shoot the Terminator. He eventually was the last cop to get shot.

I like to see cuts and deleted scenes, but they made the right choice discarding it.

  • @viaductos i concur

  • Hahaha I'm so glad they cut out of the scene in the end of this video.... I hate when they have those corny moments like that.

This is the first time I saw these deleted scenes. I've always took Traxler as a good guy and his sidekick being the asshole. The way how Traxler was really interested in hearing Reese's story during the interrogation, yet his sidekick (the white guy) was trying to joke around.

In my eyes, these deleted scenes are unnecessary.... and that ending was too corny.

  • Without the last scene, Traxler is just a cop like the other one. But those few seconds make him a hero.

  • They should have definately have kept these scenes, especially the last two when Traxler realises that what Reece sais was true.

  • Indeed!

  • Agreed, these scenes should have definitely been kept in. That last scene is needed to explain how Biehn got a gun on his way out of the station. The "he better be" line from Winfield about Biehn being a nut case is a powerful and dramatic line delivery. Paul Winfield was an all time great actor and I think he deserved this extra 1:26 of screen time, especially since he was the biggest name in this film at the time it was made (the rest of the cast was young and unkown at the time).

  • agreed

  • @JacobRudduck defo, i get goosebumps from the fact he realises what they're up against.

  • @Teedub1986 Traxler only has the barest hint of the story he has been told by reese: That a killing machine, sent on the orders of a deceased supercomputer from the future, is tracking down a girl in order to have her assassinated, thus dooming mankind in a war that has not even happened yet. The reality is much more shocking.

  • why the fuck did they delete this? Good Scene

  • wow that is amazing. they should have kept that.

  • Wow cool scene. Why didn't they keep it I wonder?

I do hope that guy lived.

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • Who eva made T3 nearly ruined the whole fucking movie saga, T4 doe slook good i am excited bout it

  • Arnold didn't even want to do T3 because the original director was not there . The only reason he did it was because the old one wanted him to do it.

  • Cameron to Arnold: "Just do it and ask for a shit-load of money" :)

  • Thank goodness he did T3 after all because if he didn't, I wouldn't want to it in the theaters.

  • what about TS then?

  • I watched T3 lst nyt & i was realy pissed of the begining was quite shit, they use a little comedy in some scenes & stupid backgrnd audio like when Arnie hits the fire truck or they hit the bouncly castle and also when Arnie goes into the male strip club towards the end its better T3 could of been so much better. One thing tht pissed me of about T3 was the way the war was depicted it looked totaly fcked and it pissed me of so much i fckin h8d it, it was like smething out ofa low budget movie.

  • I liked how he bent the crow bar on the truck and used it as a lock.

  • " do what ever you had to do"

too late when the officer said that...

  • I knew I remembered that I forgot it was a deleted scene.

  • he had a bullet proof vest on he had 2 he gave 1 to sarah and took it bak when she said she didnt need it

  • they shouldve kept this scene in it wouldve made the movie better and i think he survived they were 17 in the station 16 killed traxer survived

  • didn't Traxler say that there are 30 cops in the building? Or was that an exaggeration?

  • Considering the number of screams and gunshots in the scene where the T-800 masacured the police force, I'd say 30 sounds about right.

  • He did, and in T2 an officer in the psychiatric hospital told Sarah he killed 17 that night.

  • I thought he killed way more than 17, not counting Taxler or the other guy.

  • It was never actually revealed that Traxler died after we last see him in the original cut, or here. I think he may have survived.

  • the white guy plays the robot in alien- awesome movie!

  • He was actually going to be the orignal terminator and Arnie was going to play Reese. But Arnie wanted to be the terminator.

  • @StanAlter O.J. Simpson was going to play the Terminator too. But Cameron did not feel that Simpson would be believable as a killer.

  • @Jumpybeaver Hmmm.. Now isnt that ironic!!

  • @StanAlter LMFAO! I know right? I laughed at the irony when I first heard it.

  • the man who played traxler, paul winfield, was a really good actor.

  • These scenes don't add anything to the movie.

  • While I agree, they don't add anything to the movie, it still would have been great to have them in the movie.

  • cutting scenes from science fiction movies is stupid

  • It is.

  • that would been good in the movie

  • Traxler you idiot, why did it take you so long to believe Reese's story? you might have lived otherwise! dumb ass.

  • u probably wudn't have believed Reese either if u were Traxler. It's not his fault.

  • I was wondering why Traxler (Winfield) was entered in the cinemorgue site, I didn't know he actually died. Was he dead right at the end of that last scene?

  • yeah the one guy that believed reese. i mean if one man with an atomatic weapon and a shot gun can take out a entire police station... yeah its prob not human, a durp.

  • Lt Traxler is cool! At least one person who thinks that what Reese says has perhaps just a tiny shine of believability for our ears, but it has believability. Hate that Silverman guy, but fucking love him in T3LOL!

  • where is the ultimate directors cut of this great movie?? these scenses make it even more better. i want to have a terminator movie with these scenes one day.

  • If this happened in real life, there would be a few, very few who WOULD believe something like this.

I know I would, it may sound like I'm crazy but if given the time and situation I could believe it. I wouldn't show it publicly, but I'd quietly believe it and my friends/family would respect my opinion regardless of how crazy my opinion might be.

  • Cheesefest

  • nah the last scene was well too cheesy for the movie ... "she must live" lol nah you would have to be retarded to even say that

  • I'm glad somebody fucking believed Reese.

  • me too

  • Thank god the last scene didn't stay in the movie. Would've been cheesy.

  • I see why thses scenes had to be taken out. The first three didn't really mean much, the parts where he believes Resse might, but people didn't need to know, so thats out.

but it was kinda neat to see what Cameron had in
