I am an Islamist and agree with Allama Iqbal's views - except one - the creation of Pakistan. There was no need. Muslims were capable of creating an Islamic civilization within a Hindu India. (Muslims made up a good 30% during British rule). When Pakistan was created, half of India's Muslims were left in a lurch and are sufferring even today because they are a 12% minority. They have been abandoned by those who left for Pakistan. Even the Kashmiri Muslim suffers.

But still, Iqbal was great.

I am deeply disappointed. Those people migrated for Islam. Risked their lives to create a Muslim nation. Those who stayed back gave up on Islam. Remember, there was another Hijrat in Islam about 1400 years before the creation of Pakistan, by the Prophet (SAS). The only Muslim country to be created for Islam is Pakistan, which makes unique in the Islamic world. Yes, we are in trouble today, but Pakistan will be the focal point of the second uprising of the Muslim nation, InshAllah.
