I actually think the speed is a astounding. We watched this earlier today, our teacher saying we'd be singing it, so I came home and looked it up. It would be an honor to do this piece, except our teacher wants us to slow it down, and I think it should stay were it is. :x
umm .. choir did very well on the diction .. some parts like when you say farm needs emphasis added to it .. then at the end when you say advice .. theres an S sounds ,kinda like a hissing sound.. put a T on the end of advice so its advit so it wont make so much of a hissing noise/also so it wont sound like your carrying/ dragging the note on more than you should .. but still really good .. just some suggestions that would make it perfect .. sand this song as a freshmen at ballard(Louisville)
Choir performed it a few days ago.... now we're going to perform with this song again very soon. Love this song, love this poem. Love the music and i feel sorry for our piano player haha.
@itsallaboutme0423 What a cheap shot! The song, by it's very nature, defies clear enunciation, but I suppose it does afford the likes of you an opportunity to diss the abilities of the choir. I doubt that you could do any better.
Honestly, i dont really like it. It goes to fast it seems like theyre rushing. Also they need taller vowels, they sound like a fifth grade choir . No offense, just costructive critacism
Home, tu dire no es Joaquín Valdeón y os falta esa potente cantidad de machos españoles de bajos (y casi-hombres de tenores) pero suena guay. Gran inglés. ¿Pasó Stephanie por allí también para enseñaros, eh?

Yes its DJ :) Deanna Joseph conducting. I loved this women's choir... Deanna was the best.
It's not too fast. This was actually a bit slower than the marked tempo.

Its not meant to be sung this fast it sounds as if they were rushing through it. Over all I think they sounded great.
xoF4BULuSox 3 years ago
actually, that's the originally planned tempo for the song, but some slow it down to make it a little simpler
herohearts 3 years ago
This is the correct tempo- just most accompanists can't manage it. Great playing!

we're singing this song and it is not my favourite, but that's because we sing it a lot to get it perfect. i really do like the tempo though.
