Hakkinen had a few big smashes throughout his career but then so did most of the very best drivers, this one wasn't his fault (front suspension failure)

This is the crash that practically ended his career because after this race or a couple later he retired because this was his 2nd major crash after Adelaide 95 and he thought that bad luck comes in 3's and that his third crash would kill him.
